According to the couple, the man didn’t just pass by once. He allegedly drove past them five separate times, each time yelling the same offensive word.
The incident reportedly took place along Airport Road in Everett, a normally unremarkable stretch where people go about their day. But for this couple, the area turned into the stage for a bizarre and deeply uncomfortable confrontation. In video footage shared afterward, the driver can be seen slowing down while filming the couple from his car window before shouting insults at them.
Racist Washington Man Drives By To Insult Couple Five Times
The clip captures the final pass. By that point, the couple says the man had already driven by multiple times earlier just to repeat the same slur.
Think about that level of commitment to being awful for a second. It wasn’t a fleeting outburst or a moment of bad judgment during a passing argument. According to the couple, the driver deliberately looped around the area again and again simply to continue the harassment.
By the time the video was recorded, the couple had already contacted the police. They said they were on the phone with authorities while the man continued his drive-by taunts. The situation reportedly involved not only racial insults but threats as well, which made the encounter feel even more alarming.
Fortunately, the driver’s license plate was clearly visible in the video, something the couple made sure to pass along to police. Still, they weren’t overly optimistic about what might happen next. In a statement explaining why they shared the footage, one of them wrote, “I doubt any charges can actually be brought against him so I’m bringing it to local subs in the hopes that one of you knows who this is and this can have at least some effect on his personal life.”

They admitted they yelled back at the driver after enduring the repeated insults. “I was completely shocked at the brazenness of his behavior and I have a zero tolerance policy for racism or fascist [expletive]. I really lost my decorum there lol, but who wouldn’t? Here I am with my partner and some idiot speeds past shouting [n-word] and does it again and again because he got a reaction out of me.”
The frustration in that statement is palpable. When someone goes out of their way to harass you repeatedly, maintaining perfect composure isn’t exactly a realistic expectation. Moments like this also highlight a broader cultural tension that continues to surface in viral videos across the country.
