The tour was set to kick off on August 5th. However, just days before the first show, the entire tour was cancelled. Rolling Stone magazine writes that while no official reason was given, it appears that signs point to low ticket sales.
But here is where Kim’s concerns really kick in. Just after the cancellation announcement, North West released a horror-inspired video with worrisome lyrics about betrayal and suffering. An inside source told the publication that North West is “North is clearly in a very dark place right now. You only have to listen to her song lyrics to see that. It’s easy to dismiss this as creative writing, but the reality is much bleaker. It’s a blatant cry for help!”

Bipolar disorder looks different in youth than in adults, per the Mayo Clinic. While adults often experience distinct, weeks-long periods of depression followed by distinct periods of mania, children and teens often exhibit rapid mood swings, irritability, and strong emotional outbursts.
There is no evidence in the reporting that North West has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder or any other mental-health condition. A song’s lyrics, clothing choices, mood changes or desire for independence are not enough to establish a diagnosis. However, one thing is clear. North West’s recent behavior has the family concerned.
