Former NBA Big Man Enes Kanter Freedom ‘Banned’ From Wintrust Arena Following Illinois WNBA Altercation: ‘What A Joke!’
Recently, the WNBA has exploded in popularity with names like Caitlin Clark, Angel Reese, and many others paving the way for a new generation of female athletes. However, with that newfound popularity has also come a whole new set of problems. Yet, the main issue currently isn’t about finances or publicity; it’s about human rights. Former NBA big man Enes Kanter Freedom has seemingly made it his personal mission to get to the bottom of the WNBA’s alleged transgender athlete problem. However, it would appear that he is actually just creating a problem that never existed in the first place.
Enes Kanter Freedom claims that he is protecting women. It would appear as though he also wants to declare for the 2027 NBA draft. However, that is not the worst of his actions so far. Most recently, Enes Kanter showed up to a WNBA game in Illinois to watch the Chicago Sky take on the Indiana Fever. He was also wearing a shirt that had the definition of the word woman on it. This prompted Chicago Sky player Natasha Cloud to give Enes a piece of her mind after hitting a tough basket.

Yet, Kanter would attempt to storm onto the court following this, and even had to be held back by the arena’s security. Enes Kanter Freedom made it about one step onto the floor before being swarmed. This is obviously not a good look for the former NBA player. Nothing says protecting women like attempting to square up with one.
Social media also had a lot to say regarding this, as many users would let their feelings be known via X. “What a joke!” said one regarding Enes Kanter. Someone else then pointed out, “This kind of weirdo activity is exactly why he’s not in the NBA now. He’s a cornball.” A different comment then read, “Unfortunately, this gives him the attention.” Finally, one last person’s comment also read, “He has to be the first NBA player to get CTE.”
Luckily, the Wintrust Arena security team did a fantastic job de-escalating the situation. Enes Kanter Freedom has also been “Banned,” from attending any event at the Illinois venue again. At the end of the day, Kanter’s choices are quite strange. What the WNBA does or doesn’t do doesn’t really affect him at all. Hopefully, he learned his lesson from this little stunt, but he probably did not. Enes Kanter Freedom will seemingly continue to make a fool of himself for everyone to see.
