Keith Urban is said to be looking for love again following his public divorce from actress Nicole Kidman. The Tennessee country singer has now reportedly set his sights on fellow songbird Jessica Simpson, who is currently navigating her own split with husband Eric Johnson.
Urban and Simpson are said to have been getting friendly now that Jessica is spending more time recording in Nashville, where Keith lives. Sources tell In Touch that the pair have a lot in common. Besides their recent love life dramas, they are also parents and take their singing careers very seriously.

“A lot of Keith’s interest in Jessica comes down to their shared ambitions in country music,” the insider says. “As artists, they’re aligned in so many ways.”
However, Urban may have some competition. Simpson is said to be dating Thomas Eisenhood, a monitor engineer, whom she met through her friends in Tennessee. Even so, the country music vet is reportedly offering up all of his knowledge and resources to Simpson as she restarts her own singing career.
“Keith is making it clear that Jessica can access his knowledge and experience anytime she wants,” says the insider. “He really wants to help her succeed on the country music scene.”

Meanwhile, this isn’t the first time Urban has been linked to another woman since his split from Kidman. In the months following their divorce announcement, he was romantically tied to both his tour instrumentalist, Maggie Baugh, and country singer Karley Scott Collins, who also opened for him on tour, per Yahoo.
However, Urban has pushed back on some of the speculation, telling fans in October to stop “reading” too much into rumors surrounding his music. Whether Simpson is the latest name to be added to that list, or something more is developing between them, remains to be seen.
