Working in the retail industry seems to be a very stressful career path. There are countless videos spread across every social media platform showing the horrors of dealing with unruly customers. Sadly, this recently posted TikTok video is no different. The clip has around 1K likes and 20.5K views as this Older California man gets into a heated altercation with a younger store employee. Viewers seemingly can’t get enough of the drama as this video continues to strive for viral status.
Unfortunately, the TikTok video begins with the action already underway. With that being said, it is unknown what had transpired before the camera was rolling to make these two California natives so upset. However, the angry man can be heard telling the younger employee, “You think you can disrespect me? I’m twice your age, little girl. I’ve got kids your age.” The woman then proceeds to yell at the customer with a flurry of vulgar language, as this seemed to be the final straw for her. A screaming match then occurs as the other employees attempt to calm everyone down.

The TikTok comment section had a lot to say about this as well. Many would rush to leave behind their own thoughts and jokes regarding the situation. “Employees should never curse; you are being paid not to curse,” wrote one. Another pointed out, “The cashier was in the wrong.” One more comment also read, “It’s always something, I’m weak.” A different person then joked, “I’m too focused on his headset to even pay attention to what’s going on.” Finally, one last commenter asked, “Why can’t we get along with each other? Why can’t we respect one another?”
As the TikTok video continues, the California man and the young woman also continue their screaming match. The man is also still angry that the younger woman has disrespected him, as he is her elder. The argument then draws on and on as everyone around them seems sick of it.
As the TikTok video comes to an end, the California man states that he wants to talk to management after this encounter. At the end of the day, viewers may never know why these two people were so mad at one another. However, it seemed like it was not something to get that worked up over. Hopefully, everyone just went their separate ways after this, and the altercation came to an end.
