Late Thursday night, when the live feed cameras were turned back on, it was revealed that none other than Arkansas Jumbotron engineer Barrett Pfeiffer had won HoH for Week 9. The Big Brother podcaster and superfan is now in a very interesting position to shake things up and burn bridges within the house.
Barrett was ready to show his cards during Week 8, planning to evict Rick Devens. However, due to Devens’ big blockbuster win, Barrett never got the chance. This week, Barrett has the power to nominate all three of the icons, including Devens, Dee, and Angela, if he wants to draw a line in the sand.
Barrett Pfeiffer Wins Big Brother Head of Household in Week 9
Of course, this would mean that Barrett would have to clearly reveal that he’s no longer working with the icons and Drew in the “Crossovers” alliance. Instead, he’s flipped, and he’s ready to rock with Melody, Yash, and Taylor to take out the icons. Or so he says.
In addition, Barrett has also made a three-person alliance with Devens and Drew, with the former Survivor winner revealing that he’d like to take both Drew and Barrett to the final 3 with him. However, it’s unclear what Barrett will do with his newfound power.
It seems likely that he’s ready to make a big move after laying dormant for several weeks in the Big Brother house. Although, he could change his mind and opt to target Dee and Angela while staying loyal to the other side of the house and keeping fellow alliance members Devens and Drew safe.

This might be Barrett’s best bet, and would be a way to get rid of one of the icons, particularly comp beast Dee, making everyone else’s path to the winner’s circle a bit easier.
Meanwhile, Barrett’s big win comes at a time when a clip from his podcast has surfaced, leaving him with a bit of scandal surrounding his casting. In a video, Barrett is seen talking to his podcast partner about Big Brother host Julie Chen Moonves, and it’s not flattering, per The Sun.
A Scandal Surfaces Amid Barrett’s Big Win
“I love Julie, but I hate when she talks,” Barrett says in the video. “It’s completely hypocritical,” he continued. “You take one Google search of Julie Chen Moonves, and you’ll find out everything you need to know about her.”
“I’ll say it on the podcast. I’m tired of having Julie Chen Moonves on this show. I think it’s over; I think there’s too many things in her life that I’m uncomfortable with now. I just can’t confidently talk about this show with her as the host,” he added.
While Barrett doesn’t clarify his opinions, it seems that he may be referencing the previous drama with Chen-Moonves’ husband, former CBS CEO Les Moonves, who resigned in 2018 amid sexual misconduct allegations from multiple women.
In any case, it’s shaping up to be a huge week for Barrett Pfeiffer and Big Brother fans, and it’s only promising to get more dramatic for the Arkansas Jumbotron engineer going forward.
