There are some videos on the internet that are truly just “Horrifying.” However, not all of them are as unexplainable as this recently posted TikTok video. The clip has around 1.6 million likes and 18.2 million views as this South Dakota couple makes a bone-chilling discovery. The video shows a set of snowy footprints leading up to the couple’s home. Yet, there was something off about the tracks themselves, as social media users are left scared and confused.
The TikTok starts off with a woman talking over the clip as she explains what is going on. “A couple in South Dakota woke up after a snowfall to find human footprints leading to the door of their house,” the woman can be heard saying. In the background, photos of the footprints can also be seen as they even lead down the couple’s driveway. Although arguably the most disturbing part of this whole ordeal is that the footprints face in opposite directions. However, there is only one set of tracks.
TikTok Reacts To This South Dakota Couple’s Scary Discovery
This has left many in the TikTok comment section very confused and downright concerned regarding what or who made these odd footprints in the snow. “Is it coming or going?” asked one. A commenter also joked, “I’m just gonna say it’s AI for my own mental health.” “What’s crazy is, unless it snows, you have no idea how often this happens around your house,” pointed out another. A different commenter also stated, “It’s a person hopping on one foot.” Finally, one last person’s comment read, “Everyone on here forgetting that people lie to go viral.”
It would seem as though while most social media users are baffled by this situation, some don’t even believe that these footprints are real. Despite the constant argument online, if these were real, that’s certainly creepy to say the least. However, this South Dakota couple could have pretty easily made the tracks themselves. It would not have been too hard of a task at all to make strange tracks in the snow.
At the end of the day, this is definitely an interesting video. Hopefully, this South Dakota couple doesn’t have anyone or anything lurking around the outside of their house at night either. Finding snowy footprints in your yard that aren’t yours would freak most people out, and viewers can only hope they are being safe while investigating.
