Prince Harry just can’t catch a break these days, not from his royal family, not from his famous friends, and definitely not from the Hollywood elite he once seemed to be embracing with open arms. From the outside, it may have looked like Harry and Meghan Markle had successfully swapped the crown for California, but the latest buzz suggests the red carpet may be slowly rolling back up. Meanwhile, Prince William could be to blame.
According to insider chatter, Prince Harry is reportedly “furious” over the way he’s being treated, particularly when it comes to being iced out by major celebrity circles in California. Once celebrated as the charming royal rebel shaking things up with his American actress wife, Harry now appears to be feeling the sting of rejection, and he thinks that Prince William is behind the cold shoulder.
The Duke of Sussex’s most recent blow was a frosty response from none other than Hollywood icon John Travolta. While the details are murky, what’s clear is that Harry had hoped to keep a tight connection with the actor, possibly rekindling that royal-Hollywood magic that once saw his mother, Princess Diana, famously dance with Travolta at the White House. But instead of leaning in, Travolta reportedly pulled away, leaving Harry bitter and Meghan disappointed.
Prince Harry Blames Prince William For Losing Friends in California
“Harry’s deeply suspicious that William is turning people against him, and this only fuels that anxiety. He’s been saying he wants to call John directly and ask him to be honest about what’s really going on,” a source told Radar Online.
As for Meghan Markle, she’s apparently just as rattled by the shift in energy. Sources say she had hoped Travolta would lend some “genuine credibility and star power” to their circle, especially after her new jam business failed to generate support from her once-close friends.
However, the snubs don’t end there. Across the pond, the Royal Family isn’t exactly rolling out the welcome mat either. King Charles made that painfully clear at a recent State Banquet at Windsor Castle, where he gave a heartfelt speech in front of French President Emmanuel Macron. He praised Prince William and Kate Middleton, showering them with glowing remarks, but made no mention whatsoever of Harry.
To make things worse, this comes just after the King officially took back Frogmore Cottage, the Sussexes’ former UK home, and amid ongoing legal battles over Harry’s security during UK visits. The tension is high, and while Harry has reportedly expressed a desire to make peace, especially in light of his father’s cancer diagnosis, the door seems firmly shut for now, at least.
So where does that leave Prince Harry? Somewhere in limbo, caught between two worlds that don’t seem to want him. Once a beloved royal and now in a California exile, it appears that both Buckingham Palace and Beverly Hills are turning a cold shoulder.
