Going to any kind of thrift store to find clothes has become all the rage, especially for the younger generations. However, with that being said, the competition appears to be fierce if you want to grab the best threads. A recently posted TikTok video with around 54K likes and 5545K views shows just how fierce it can be as two Illinois women get into a scuffle over who gets to buy some kind of jacket.
The TikTok begins with a large group of people huddled around an older and younger woman as they appear to be in some kind of disagreement. However, as the video goes on, it’s clear that they are not only in disagreement, but they are in the middle of a physical altercation. Both women can be seen pulling on the jacket from each side as their respective partners attempt to separate them. The text on the screen also reads, “Never going thrifting again.” The two women would continue to struggle to rip the clothing item from one another’s hands as they exchanged vulgar language.
TikTok Reacts To Illinois Thrift Store Battle
The TikTok comment section found this pretty funny, though. Many would rush to the video in order to leave behind their own jokes and opinions on the matter. “This is why rich people mock us,” wrote one. “I hope the younger girl got the jacket,” said one more. Another commenter pointed out, “As a security guard, I would be like none of you getting it.” One also joked, “I’m just trying to see the jacket they’re fighting over.” Finally, one last person commented, “The fact that this is someone’s mom.” It would seem as though many social media users are having a good laugh regarding this situation.
As the TikTok video continues, the two Illinois women begin to slam one another into the shelves as they go down the aisle. At this point, the crowd is really getting into it as one boy even asks, “Is this a skit?” Another person can also be heard shouting, “Yo, this is gonna do numbers on the Tok.”
Finally, a security guard would step in, as it is later said that neither of the Illinois women got to keep the jacket. At the end of the day, this was some crazy behavior by both women. However, the ending was at least satisfying enough. Hopefully, they both learned a valuable lesson from this odd thrifting encounter.
