Going out for dinner is always a gamble, as one woman in Georgia recently found out. Sometimes a meal isn’t great. Sometimes the service isn’t great. And sometimes a customer decides to leave behind a note that ends up generating far more attention than the actual food ever could.
That’s exactly what happened when a Georgia woman shared the aftermath of a disappointing restaurant experience that quickly turned into a viral social media debate. TikTok creator Ava, who posts under the username @avaxojane, found herself at the center of online discussion after revealing a handwritten message she left behind at an Italian restaurant.
The post has racked up more than 2.5 million views, with viewers fiercely divided over whether her complaint was justified or completely unnecessary. The image featured a used dinner plate alongside a receipt that had been transformed into a review of sorts. Written on the back was a message that immediately caught people’s attention.
Woman Leaves Note After Eating Raw Pasta In Georgia Restaurant

“Pasta was RAW. I ate it anyways so I don’t get blackout drunk.” As if that wasn’t enough, Ava added another layer of context with on-screen text explaining, “Drunk me thought this was aesthetic.”
The restaurant was tagged in the post, identifying it as The Sauce Italian Kitchen & Bar, and before long the comment section became a battlefield filled with food opinions, restaurant horror stories, and plenty of secondhand embarrassment. One of the biggest points of contention was whether the pasta was actually undercooked at all.
Italian food enthusiasts quickly pointed out that many people confuse properly cooked pasta with pasta that is genuinely raw. One commenter joked, “Whole time it’s probably al dente.” Others seemed far less concerned about the culinary details and more entertained by the note itself.
“I would’ve died if I read that,” one viewer admitted. Another simply wrote, “Classy.” Of course, not everyone was laughing. Some restaurant workers weighed in, arguing that leaving a passive-aggressive note after finishing the meal doesn’t accomplish much.
One server shared a perspective that many hospitality workers appeared to agree with, writing, “As a server, either tell us when it happens or just don’t say anything. Nothing happened with that note excepting going straight in the trash.”
She Claims The Server Was Rude
Interestingly, Ava later clarified in the comments that she had already raised concerns during the meal. According to her, the situation wasn’t as simple as someone silently suffering through an entire plate of pasta.
She claimed she brought the issue to the server’s attention but alleged the employee was “very rude.” That detail caused some viewers to sympathize with her decision to leave a written message, while others still felt the note accomplished little beyond creating an awkward moment.
Meanwhile, plenty of TikTok users couldn’t resist making jokes about the entire situation. “Crispy pasta is better anyways,” one person joked. Whether the pasta was truly raw, simply undercooked, or perfectly al dente may never be settled. What is clear is that one handwritten receipt turned a routine dinner into a viral conversation.
In the age of social media, it seems even a disappointing pasta dish can become internet entertainment. And judging by the millions of views and hundreds of comments about this Georgia situation, people are almost as passionate about restaurant complaints as they are about the food itself.
