A disturbing video that’s now making the rounds online shows a senior protester being aggressively shoved to the ground by a man who appears to be a proud supporter of the president. It wasn’t just a scuffle, it was a blatant assault, and it left the elderly man hospitalized with a head injury.
According to eyewitness reports via Reddit, the incident happened when a pro-Trump couple from Oregon pulled up to the scene of a protest in their truck. The woman exited first and immediately began yelling at an elderly protester. Her partner then joined in and, without hesitation, shoved the man to the ground. You can actually hear the painful impact in the background of the video. The protester’s cry made it clear that this was no minor fall. He was injured and needed medical help.
What’s more shocking is what the couple did next. Rather than check on the man or take any responsibility, they hopped back into their truck and sped off, with their children in tow, like nothing happened. Luckily, someone captured the entire incident, and the local community wasn’t about to let them get away with it.

Not long after the video circulated, an update came from someone in the community who reportedly witnessed the arrest.
“Dude, I saw this guy getting arrested along with his wife outside Waldport a couple hours ago. He was cuffed up behind the truck and the Sheriff was cuffing up his wife. By the time I came back from the Feed Store I saw another State Trooper and an unmarked rig. The sad thing is that their kid, who was about 12, was talking to them from outside the sheriff’s rig.”
It’s honestly heartbreaking to imagine a child witnessing their parents getting arrested for something so senseless and cruel. But actions have consequences, and it seems the law is finally catching up with them.
People online didn’t hold back either. Social media was flooded with outrage and support for the injured protester.
The Internet Weighs In On The Violence
“If Dad is doing that to strangers, I’d wager things aren’t great at home,” one person wrote.
“I’ll bet [they] think Trump will pardon them,” wrote another.
Thankfully, there’s some justice coming. The Reddit poster claims that the elderly man plans to press charges. One commenter noted, “That meets the legal criteria for assault if they want to press charges.” To which the original poster confirmed, “Yes they pressing charges as far as we’ve heard.”
This incident is a sad reminder of how political differences can turn violent when fueled by rage and ignorance. Protesting is a constitutional right, and attacking someone, especially an elderly person, for expressing their beliefs is beyond unacceptable.
Hopefully, the Oregon legal system follows through, and this couple faces the consequences they deserve. At the very least, the community is rallying behind the victim, showing that compassion still wins out over cruelty.
