Texas ‘Trump Burger’ Boss Snagged In ICE Arrest: ‘Karma Ate Him Up’

A Texas man who opened a burger restaurant inspired by Donald Trump is making national headlines for something that has absolutely nothing to do with the food and everything to do with immigration drama. Roland Beainy, the 28-year-old co-owner of the Trump-themed restaurant chain, is now facing possible deportation. And yes, this is the same Trump Burger known for slinging “Melania Crispy Chicken” sandwiches and towering “Trump Tower” burgers.

Beainy, who hails from Lebanon, is accused by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) of overstaying his visa and faking a marriage in order to stay in the U.S. longer. The feds aren’t pulling any punches here. According to ICE, not only did he never have a green card, but the entire marriage situation was, in their words, a sham. And, to make it extra messy, they claim his own “in-laws” were the ones who spilled the beans about it being fake,” per Daily Boulder

Things took a serious turn back in May when ICE agents arrested Beainy in Texas. A judge later granted him bond, but his immigration court case is far from over. If he loses, he’s packing his bags and heading back to Lebanon. The Department of Homeland Security has made it clear they’re not buying his version of events, flat-out calling his claims “baseless” and saying there’s “zero tolerance” for fraud.

But the Texas businessman’s troubles aren’t ending with immigration court. Oh no, there’s a whole side dish of lawsuits on the table. Beainy, who calls himself “the culinary tycoon” on Instagram, owns half of Trump Burger, at least according to him. The small chain has four Lone Star State locations and leans heavily into the MAGA aesthetic. Think red hats, giant gold letters, and Trump impersonators at events. There’s zero official connection to Donald Trump or his business empire. In fact, Trump’s legal team reportedly sent a cease-and-desist letter demanding they ditch the name and branding altogether, claiming customers were being misled.

If that weren’t enough, Beainy’s also locked in a legal battle with his business partner, Eddie Hawa, who founded Trump Burger in the first place. Beainy says he bought half the business, Hawa says he didn’t, and now they’re suing each other for big money. We’re talking a million-dollar counterclaim from Hawa.

Meanwhile, not all Texas locals are feeling the love for the burgers. The chain’s newest location in Houston, which opened in May, got roasted in a review calling the food “consistent in blandness.” For a place named after a man famous for “big” and “tremendous” things, that’s not exactly the publicity you want.

Beainy’s immigration timeline, according to ICE, is pretty straightforward: he came to the U.S. in 2019 on a temporary visa, let it expire in February 2024, and then allegedly tried to cement his stay with a fake marriage in 2021.

Anti-MAGA Calls Karma

“Karma ate him up,” one person commented on X. “You can’t make this s–t up,” said another.

ICE, for its part, isn’t letting politics get in the way. In their own words, “regardless of what restaurant you own or political beliefs you might have,” they’re coming after anyone who’s here illegally or breaking the rules. Translation: running a Trump-themed burger joint in Texas won’t earn you a free pass.

Trump Burger, staying on brand, later clapped back on Instagram with a meme of Donald Trump declaring, “You’re fake news.” It’s a fitting tagline for a case that’s equal parts courtroom drama, fast-food feud, and political theater.
