A shocking video out of Tennessee has people swearing off Little Caesars after seeing what some employees were doing behind the scenes, and let’s just say, it had nothing to do with fresh ingredients or quality control.
In Cleveland, Tennessee, a passerby caught a group of Little Caesars workers transporting pizza dough in the back of a dirty maroon SUV, and the internet hasn’t stopped talking about it since. The footage shows the workers unloading several large boxes of dough from the trunk and carrying them into the restaurant. What’s worse is that one of the employees wasn’t even wearing gloves.
The person filming the scene was clearly horrified. “Alright, Cleveland. This is Little Caesars. This is how they handle the dough,” the man behind the camera says, his disbelief growing with every second. “They have no gloves. And this is how they handle their [expletive] dough. This is insane.” He zooms in on the back of the SUV to reveal just how grimy the setup was: dust, debris, and what looked like old carpet fibers sitting right beneath those precious pizza boxes.
Tennessee Man Can’t Believe His Eyes When He Sees Little Caesars Dough Delivery
“I’m calling the health department, guys,” he continues, audibly disgusted. “Oh my god. I cannot believe that Little Caesars off of Paul Huff in Cleveland, Tennessee. If you eat pizza, don’t eat here.”
And apparently, he wasn’t bluffing. The video’s description later confirmed that the local health department did get involved. “Update: health department came and made them throw out all the dough but allowed them to continue business with no stipulations,” the poster wrote. So, while the questionable cargo was tossed out, the restaurant itself faced no additional penalties.
Naturally, people online had a lot to say about the whole thing, and most of it wasn’t pretty. Some were baffled that the employees thought this was an acceptable way to transport food. Others were shocked that the health department didn’t shut the place down entirely. A few even cracked jokes about extra seasoning from the car carpet, though most commenters leaned toward pure disgust.
The Internet Can’t Believe It
“My jaw fell all the way down,” one person commented. “I just know there’s all types of debris in that pizza,” another stated. “When I asked for an everything pizza, that’s not what I wanted,” joked a third social media user. “This shouldn’t be funny but man I’m cryin,” a fourth comment read.
To be fair, mistakes happen in the food industry, but this Tennessee dough disaster has become a new benchmark for what not to do when handling ingredients. In an age where everyone’s phone doubles as a camera crew, it’s hard to believe anyone thought this was a good idea.
So, next time you’re in Tennessee craving a quick pizza fix, maybe give your local Little Caesars a second look before ordering. Because, as this incident proved, “Hot-N-Ready” doesn’t always mean clean and steady.
