Sean Diddy Combs is a fairly new arrival at New Jersey‘s Federal Correctional Institution (FCI), Fort Dix. That being said, one might think that the disgraced rapper would attempt to fly under the radar. At least for a while. However, for Diddy, that just doesn’t seem to be the case. Now rumors are swirling that his prison stay might already be more eventful than expected.

Once the dust settled, from Sean Diddy Combs’ October 30th transfer. New details have emerged alleging Diddy may already have violated two, that’s right, two New Jersey prison rules in just days. Multiple sources are reporting that, according to prison documents, Diddy made an unauthorized three-person call on November 3 to allegedly discuss releasing a statement to The New York Times.

He began by calling an unnamed woman and asking her to connect him to someone described as “the digital person” halfway through their conversation. The CBS News report also states that Combs then asked the woman to bring 200 singles in cash while arranging a weekend prison visit.

Because of this action and an alleged prior action, the federal prison in New Jersey and officials there are rumored to already be reviewing possible disciplinary action. Prison administrators considered it a serious enough violation to recommend restrictions, including losing phone access and commissary privileges.

For someone freshly processed into a new environment, “let’s test the system” is… a bold strategy. As if the phone situation wasn’t questionable enough, whispers inside the New Jersey facility claimed Diddy may have been tied to fermented homemade alcohol. This is a common contraband brew inmates create using fruit, sugary drinks, and time. The allegations suggested officials even debated relocating him.

Does Diddy Think He’s Above the Rules?

Diddy’s camp, of course, shut that down immediately. Stating that he was not caught with anything and that he remains focused on treatment and sobriety. When confronted about the unauthorized phone call, Combs’s stance was reportedly that he simply didn’t know the rule existed. He allegedly argued he had not been given the standard orientation handbook and believed adding another person to the call was harmless.

A source close to the investigation labeled Diddy’s three-person call “a serious offense that shows a disregard for the rules.” However, his rep shared a different narrative. The music mogul’s publicist, Juda Engelmayer, echoed Diddy’s harmless sentiments, stressing that the call wasn’t a cause for concern.

He also emphasized that the conversation involved legal strategy and public messaging. Not illegal activity. Still, New Jersey prison policy treats three-way calls as a serious issue because they can be used to hide communication.

While this drama unfolds, Sean Diddy Combs has been assigned to work in the chapel library, a preferred job among inmates because it’s quiet, calm, and comes with a bit more freedom than standard duty assignments. He also entered the Bureau of Prisons’ drug treatment program. This can conveniently reduce an inmate’s sentence by up to a year if completed successfully.

As previously reported, many observers, and even a few insiders, suggest that Sean “Diddy” Combs still carries the confidence of someone used to being treated like the exception. The belief is that even in a federal prison, he behaves with celebrity entitlement, assuming the system will bend around him.

Why Chance Risking Early Release?

Here’s where it gets interesting for Diddy. The drug program he’s in can reduce his sentence. His legal team pushed to get him moved to New Jersey for better access to rehabilitation. And yes, the whispers about whether he could try to pursue a presidential pardon someday are still ongoing.

So why risk any of that by breaking rules? You’d think his motto right now would be. Don’t do anything to rock the boat. Instead, if the reports are accurate, Diddy seems to be doing a whole lotta boat-rocking within the first week.

Sean “Diddy” Combs entered a New Jersey federal prison, allegedly with a rare chance to improve his situation. Instead, he’s already linked to infractions that raise eyebrows. Looks like things could get interesting.
