Fast food workers or anyone in the service industry has to deal with all kinds of nonsense on a daily basis. There are countless clips spanning almost every social media platform showing the kind of stuff these employees endure. Well, this recently posted TikTok video with around 500 likes and 17K views is no different. The clip shows an elderly California man crashing out on an employee regarding a wet floor. Viewers seemingly can’t get enough of the drama as this video continues to strive for viral status.
The TikTok starts off with the older man telling one of the McDonald’s employees, “You need to shut the store down, this is not safe!” As he says that, he can also be seen pointing at the ground. Throughout the encounter, the person recording can also be heard in absolute disbelief at what they are witnessing. The text on the screen then reads, “My first Karen encounter.” As the video goes on, the elderly California man continues to complain about the floor allegedly being wet. He can even be heard asking for a business card from the restaurant’s manager. Although the employee seems like he is just about fed up with this unhappy customer.

It would seem as though the TikTok comment section was also fed up with the older man. Many would rush to leave behind their own opinions and jokes regarding the altercation. “I love bored old people,” joke done. Another pointed out, “Those new floors McDonald’s installed are extremely slippery. They always have the wet floor signs out.” One other person asked, “What was he going off about?” Finally, one last commenter stated, “I love how you’re so excited to see a Karen in the wild!“
As the TikTok video continues, the California man also continues his rant regarding the restaurant’s floor. However, he has now gotten to the point where he wants the man to “Shut the whole store down,” due to the floor maybe being a little slippery. The employee then just walks away from the older man, as he has finally had enough.
The TikTok would come to an end following the employee stepping away. Videos like this are very common online, and they continue to show what these employees have to go through on a daily basis. Hopefully, the older California man just got his food and left without causing any more issues. The workers there probably have enough stuff on their plates as it is.
