Lisa Rinna Gets ‘Petty Revenge’ On RHOBH During Wedding As She Denies Reality TV Access: ‘You Can’t Have Me’

Lisa Rinna isn’t going back to her Real Housewives of Beverly Hills roots, and she’s making that abundantly clear. The Days of Our Lives fan-favorite turned reality star recently put her foot down when she was invited to a cast member wedding, and wouldn’t allow the cameras to roll on her interactions at the event.

The former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star recently opened up on her and husband Harry Hamlin’s podcast, Let’s Not Talk About the Husband, about turning down Bravo’s cameras at a co-star’s wedding, showing that some things are more important than screen time, per OK! Magazine.

Lisa Rinna, who left RHOBH in 2022, was invited to the wedding of Alexia Umansky, Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky’s daughter, and initially felt nothing but excitement. “When I saw the invite, I was like cool, I would love to,” she shared, describing Alexia as “just darling.” With no mention of filming on the invitation, Lisa felt confident the event would be a private affair.

Lisa Rinna Refuses RHOBH Cameras At Cast Wedding

However, that confidence was short-lived. A producer from Bravo reached out, asking if she could be filmed during the nuptials. Lisa didn’t hesitate with her answer. “I didn’t think you were filming at the wedding, and no, you can’t film me,” she recalled. “No, I’m not gonna do that.” Harry Hamlin, ever supportive, chimed in with a simple “Good for you,” as Lisa explained her stance further: she would attend to support her friend, but any cameras would have to work around her—or blur her out entirely. “It gave me a kind of nice satisfaction to say, ‘No, you can’t have me. No, you can’t,’” she admitted.

This moment highlights a larger issue Rinna has consistently voiced about her time on RHOBH: the financial and personal toll of reality TV. On the podcast, she recalled the pressure of maintaining appearances while filming. “They want your real life. Their take on it is: You should look how you look, because this is your life. So they want that. But I didn’t love that part of it, because I spent all my money on hair and makeup and wardrobe,” she explained. Lisa has also publicly criticized Bravo for making cast members cover costs for essentials like hair, makeup, and wardrobe—a burden she described as “the hardest thing for me.”

Is Lisa Putting Her Foot Down Or Being Petty?

Even off the screen, Lisa Rinna has consistently shown that she knows her worth. While she’s willing to support friends and attend significant life events, she won’t let reality TV dictate every aspect of her personal life. Her decision to refuse filming at Alexia’s wedding is a testament to her priorities: friends first, cameras second.

“This is just Lisa’s petty revenge,” one person commented on the situation.

For Lisa Rinna, it seems some lines are simply not meant to be blurred, even in the glittery, drama-filled world of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
