Kim Kardashian and her mother Kris Jenner may be gearing up for a war in Calabasas. Insiders are claiming that Kim is clashing with her mom and the ultimate momager, Kris Jenner, over the future of the family brand. Specifically, whether Kim’s kids should take center stage as the next generation of reality royalty.
While Kim Kardashian is known for turning everything she touches into profit, she seems to have a different vision when it comes to her four children: North, 11, Saint, 9, Chicago, 7, and Psalm, 6, whom she shares with ex-husband Kanye West.
“Kim is mapping out a plan for North and all her kids,” a source spilled to In Touch. “She’s got a great team working with her, she knows all the right people and studio heads, and she’s calling the shots.”
Kim isn’t just any celebrity mom, she’s a one-woman brand machine, and now, she’s playing momager herself.
“She’s signing North up for photo shoots and voiceovers and she’s thinking up lucrative deals for the other ones, too,” the source added.

Meanwhile, Kris isn’t thrilled. In fact, she’s reportedly “fuming.” The family matriarch, who’s made a career out of turning her kids into billion-dollar brands, is trying to preserve her reality TV empire by slowly phasing her grandkids into The Kardashians. One insider said, “It’s been high on her agenda for years to build the next generation of her family empire.”
Kris has her sights set on ratings, and with the family show losing some of its original shine, she’s looking to the next wave of Kardashians to bring the sparkle back. “She has her own plans for her grandkids, first of all that they join the family show franchise,” the source said.
However, Kim isn’t having it.
“They don’t have to do this unless they want to,” the insider added. And in a recent appearance on Sara Foster’s podcast, Kim opened up about how she and North approach opportunities. “She’ll get an offer to do a photo shoot or something. And like, we really sit and talk about it as a family. Like, ‘Should she do this? What’s too much? What’s not?’”
Kim’s also hyper-aware of the emotional toll fame can take, especially after years of dealing with Kanye’s very public struggles. “I try to protect that and be so mindful of them being their own people and them not feeling like they have to, you know, be in our shadows,” she explained.
Still, it’s not just about differing parenting styles. There’s history and ego involved. One source noted, “Kris thinks Kim owes it to her after all she’s done for her, but Kim doesn’t see it that way, of course.”
