Last month, Kanye West went live in a now-infamous stream that raised eyebrows across social media. Wearing a black face mask, the 47-year-old rapper ranted about his lack of access to North, 11, Saint, 9, Chicago, 7, and Psalm, 6, the children he shares with Kim.
“I’mma go get these kids, bro,” Kanye snapped, slamming his hands on a desk during the livestream. “I’m talking to the lawyers. It gets to the point where I don’t lose my f**kin’ mind, where I got to get used to not seeing my kids.”
That outburst didn’t just concern fans, it reportedly sent Kim into full-on protective mama mode. While Kim originally agreed to joint physical and legal custody when they finalized their divorce in 2022, sources say the situation has taken a dangerous turn.

“Kanye’s erratic behavior has caused things to seriously deteriorate,” a source told Radar Online. “At this point, Kim is afraid to let him take the kids out of her sight for fear he won’t bring them back. She doesn’t trust him.”
Just weeks before the livestream, Kim cut short a visit between Kanye and North after learning they’d be spending time with Andrew and Tristan Tate, two men currently facing human trafficking allegations, which they deny. That same week, Kim reportedly discovered that North had appeared on a song with Kanye and Sean “Diddy” Combs, who is currently under investigation for sex trafficking.
The incidents prompted Kim to demand an emergency custody hearing on March 14. That move alone speaks volumes about how serious she’s taking the situation.
Kim has Beefed Up her Security
“She’s a nervous wreck,” the insider added. “Kim has upgraded the security system at her $60 million Hidden Hills mansion and beefed up her bodyguard team. She’ll do whatever it takes to keep her kids safe, no matter the cost.”
