Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick have managed to maintain picture-perfect, friendly co-parents for many years. However, things have changed drastically between the two ever since Kourtney married Travis Barker. Now it looks like their once-easy-going co-parenting dynamic may be a thing of the past.
It is no secret that Scott Disick feels like an outcast these days, especially regarding his relationship with his ex/ mom to his kids, Mason, Penelope, and Reign. Long gone are friendly, comparable chats and family vacations.
The former couple’s latest war broke out recently after Kourtney Kardashian revealed her views on education regarding their children, and to say that Scott is not on board with her latest plans is putting it mildly.
According to The Sun, things between Scott Disick and Kourtney Kardashian got pretty heated after Kourt shared her new views on their children’s education during a guest appearance on Khloe Kardashian’s podcast Khloe In Wonderland.
Kourtney raised many eyebrows when she bluntly asked, “Why do kids f*****g go to school?” Kourtney went on to share her thoughts, calling school a ‘dated practice.’ Kardashian fans immediately began sharing their thoughts on Kourtney’s opinion of the public school, deeming her out of touch.
Tension Mounts Between Scott Disick And Kourtney Kardashian
Kardashian sources claim that Kourtney and Scott have been reportedly at each other’s throats since her remarks. One insider states, “Scott strongly disagrees with Kourtney’s parenting style and finds her comments irresponsible.”
Scott is not backing down to Kourtney. He is reportedly tired of thinking she can call all the shots when it comes to their kids. “He would never allow his kids to not attend, adding, Scott claimed the three will be homeschooled, “over his dead body,” the insider adds.
Kourtney Kardashian’s views on parenthood have allegedly changed a lot since marrying Travis Barker. Scott has done well to maintain his cool to a certain point, but even he has his limits.
While Kourtney might be leaning into a more laid-back, less mainstream parenting style, she’s juggling a full house. In addition to her three with Scott, she shares baby Rocky (18 months) with husband Travis Barker. That also makes her stepmom to his three kids: Landon, Alabama, and Atiana De La Hoya, Travis’s stepdaughter from his relationship with Shanna Moakler.
As far as Scott Disick is concerned, Kourtney Kardashian is wrong on this matter. Even Kardashian fans are chiming in with their thoughts on the subject. “Who knew Scott would end up being the best & most reasonable parent? Looks like Scott has wised up with age (I say loosely) and Kourtney is reverting to a child,” one fan states.
“Homeschooling is convenient for Kourtney. She wants a rock star schedule where the kids open a laptop and call it good,” another writes. “The damage caused by that household and family has been done. School or homeschooling will not make much of a difference.”
Most schools are officially on summer break. So, it looks as if Scott Disick and Kourtney Kardashian will have a couple of months to work through things. However, if they don’t agree soon, it could be a very long summer for all involved.
