When leaving your home to go anywhere the expectation is that when you return the hose will be the same way you left it. However, that’s not always the case, sometimes pets can get into things, as well as countless other issues that could occur. However, this recently posted TikTok video shows something that nobody could have predicted. The clip has around 100K likes and 881K views as this Kansas man comes home from a night out to find a complete stranger in his apartment.
Sadly, the TikTok video begins with not a ton of context to the situation. However, the text on the screen reads, “Editing my recent home invasion like a reality TV show.” The video also has very dramatic music to match that tone. As the Kansas man walks into his home, he turns the corner, and there viewers can see a elderly woman standing in his kitchen. She clearly just took a shower as she is wearing one of the man’s towels around her, and she also took one of his drinks out of the refrigerator. The video then cuts to the police arriving to escort the woman out.
Unsurprisingly, the TikTok comment section had so much to say about this strange encounter. Many users would rush to leave behind their own thoughts and jokes regarding the situation at hand. “She seems chill,” wrote one. “Is that drink yours?‘ asked another. Someone else then pointed out, “It’s giving the shining.” A different user also wanted to know, “What do you mean recent? Does this happen often?” Finally, one last person’s comment also read, “I don’t want a Story Time, I need a Story Time.”
The TikTok would come to an end following the arrival of the law enforcement officers. However, the Kansas man would, in fact, post a Story Time video giving a lot more context as to what really went down that night. In that clip he explains that he had just gotten home from a night out with his friends. However, when he got back to his apartment, that woman was already inside.
He would then leave, to go back to his friends, as the group would venture back inside the home to see what’s going on. The woman is allegedly the ex-wife of the Kansas man’s landlord, although that is not confirmed. Eventually, she refuses to leave, and that is when the police are called. The man then explains that she was arrested for burglary, as she did steal the drinks, as well as some other items. Hopefully, this man will lock his doors every time he leaves his house after this lesson.
