Radar Online reports that Billy Ray Cyrus, 63, and Elizabeth Hurley, 59, were spotted looking less-than-lovey-dovey at the Rome airport, and fans couldn’t help but notice the third member of their travel party: Elizabeth’s son, Damian Hurley, 23. The trio had just attended a fancy gala in the Italian capital, where Hurley and Damian looked thrilled to be there, but Billy Ray? Not so much.
“The pictures in Rome say it all,” a source told the outlet. “At [the gala] Damian barely left Liz’s side. Billy seemed annoyed that Damian didn’t give him and Liz enough time to be seen as a couple before photobombing them.”
It sounds like Cyrus might not have expected the tight-knit mother-son bond to take center stage on what should’ve been a romantic getaway. And honestly, who can blame him for feeling a little sidelined? This event marked the couple’s official red carpet debut, a moment that was clearly important for both of them, but especially for Cyrus, who is still settling into a very different kind of relationship dynamic.
