Sometimes, working a retail job is the only occupation a person can get at the time. However, that line of work is depicted as a nightmare by the countless social media clips that dominate the internet. With that being said, this recently posted TikTok video is just another one of those exact situations. The clip has around 2K likes and 48.6K views as a rude California woman crashes out on a Dollar Store employee over two bucks.
The TikTok video starts off with the angry woman yelling about how the Dollar Store cashier still owes her two dollars in change. Although the worker is trying to explain that her register does not have the sufficient funds to give the woman her correct change. With that being said, it is on the store’s manager to refill the register, which they clearly did not do. As the altercation continues, the rude California woman apparently can’t grasp the concept that the cash register is empty. She then proceeded to throw a temper tantrum over two dollars’ worth of change. She even begins throwing harsh insults at the employee.
TikTok Takes Sides Amid California Dollar Tree Altercation
The TikTok comment section had a lot to say regarding this situation, though. Many would flood the video in order to leave behind their own thoughts and opinions about what they have seen so far. “I can honestly say Dollar Tree does not care about their employees,” wrote one. One other person also said, “I work at Dollar Tree, and unfortunately, this happens very often, and when we don’t have any change in our drawers, we stop accepting cash & accept cards only to avoid these situations.” Finally, one last person’s comment read, “They were afraid,” in regards to the cashier.
As the TikTok video continues, the angry California only goes on and on about her two dollars. She then insults the cashier for working at a Dollar Tree, and in turn, the employee fires back at her for shopping there. Finally, the annoying customer would find the manager and start yelling at them. They can also be heard telling the manager to fire the employee.
The angry California woman would then exit the store after insulting the cashier a few more times. However, the cahiers would then start an altercation with her manager. This leads to the young woman quitting her job on the spot and heading home that very day. At the end of the day, this was quite the wild turn of events for a simple Dollar Tree trip. Hopefully, the cashier finds a better job, though.
