The Oklahoma City Thunder, along with the Indiana Pacers, have taken the NBA world by storm lately. With the Thunder being a force in the NBA’s Western Conference all season long, it’s no surprise they are only one win away from the Finals. However, the Pacers are proving everyone wrong on this insane run they have put together. Both teams are being led by their young superstar guard, and it will certainly be a sight to see if they can close out their respective series.
Starting with the Oklahoma City Thunder, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has already secured the MVP award and is looking to add on to this legendary season with a ring and the Finals MVP award. After taking a commanding three games to one lead over Anthony Edwards and his Minnesota Timberwolves, SGA and his squad look ready to take on anybody in their way. After a disappointing playoff run last season, OKC is looking to redeem themselves, and they could easily win it all this year.
Moving on to the Indiana Pacers, Tyrese Haliburton has been putting the NBA on notice. After his peers anonymously voted him the most overrated player in the league, he has just flipped a switch. Haliburton is also enjoying a three-to-one lead over Jalen Brunson and his New York Knicks. After dropping 30 points. 15 rebounds, 15 assists, and 0 turnovers, Hiliburton and the Pacers are looking to punch their ticket to the NBA Finals with one more win.
Will the Indian Pacers and the Oklahoma City Thunder Face off in The NBA Finals?
Going ahead to the matchups for a possible Thunder vs. Pacers NBA Finals, it will be the league’s best defense up against one of its best offenses. The Pacers are a team that likes to run. They love transition offense and getting a bucket before their opponents have time to set their defense. However, the Thunder can also get out in transition as well as slow the game down by getting to the free-throw line. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is one of, if not the best, in the NBA at drawing fouls. This, however, does get him some hate online as they call him the “Free-throw Merchant” on Twitter. Although the way Tyrese Haliburton can shred an opponent’s defence just by making the right passes could turn OKC’s defensive scheme upside down.
While both teams are still battling it out in the Conference Finals as of right now, it could only be a matter of a day or two before fans finally get to see the 2025 NBA Finals matchup. Every remaining team has a lot to gain by winning the title. However, only one will. It will be extremely interesting to see how the remainder of both the Conference Finals plays out. NBA fans just can’t wait to see who will be winning it all this season!
