Going to a sporting event as a spectator is supposed to be a fun experience. However, that is not always the case, sadly. Sometimes those same events bring the worst out of people, and that’s exactly what went down in this recently posted TikTok video. The clip has around 41K likes and counting, as it shows this Texas woman sitting at an NBA game. However, viewers can see her phone, as well as the extremely racist messages she is typing on it. Social media users are up in arms as the video continues to go viral online.
The TikTok video starts off with the woman sitting in her seats at the NBA game, and she has pretty good seats. It would seem as though she is only a few rows up from courtside, and she can see all the action of the game. Yet, that’s the last thing on her mind, it would appear, as this Texas woman can be seen texting a man named Chris. Although it’s what those messages say, it left viewers shocked. “A lot of crazy Hispanic fans,” read one of the woman’s texts. She then typed out another that said, “All Hispanic! How can they afford it?”
Social Media Users Roast Racist Texas Woman
Unsurprisingly, the TikTok comment section had so much to say about this woman’s racist remarks. Many would rush to the clip in order to leave behind their own thoughts and opinions regarding the matter. “I’m curious to know who she is,” said one. Another wrote, “You’re literally in San Antonio!!!! Hahaha, like did she not know where she was?” Someone else then pointed out, “I’m so glad they are demonstrating the strength and joy in the community.” Finally, one last person’s comment also read, “Are American people okay?“
As the TikTok video continues, everyone involved with San Antonio Spurs basketball appears to be doing their part to combat this kind of behavior. Players like De’Aaron Fox, as well as countless Texas NBA fans, spoke out regarding the situation, with some fans even wearing custom shirts that said “Crazy Hispanic fan” on them. The team itself also put out a statement in support of unity.
At the end of the day, there is no room for this kind of hate in the sports world, or anywhere for that matter. Hopefully, this Texas woman can see the error of her ways and change for the better. As for the Spurs fans and organization, they couldn’t have handled the situation any better than they did. Now, as the season comes to an end, San Antonio is looking to make a deep run in the 2026 NBA Playoffs.
