Working in the medical field, no matter what level or position, is sure to be some very stressful work. Staff workers have to deal with all kinds of strange characters and nonsense all the time. However, with that being said, this Texas medical worker’s attitude towards a pregnant woman in this recently posted TikTok video is just inexcusable. The clip has around 175K likes and 3.9 million views, as social media users, unsurprisingly, had a lot to say regarding this altercation.

The TikTok video starts off with the medical worker standing behind her desk as she calls one of her co-workers on the phone. Although as she does that, the woman recording can be heard yelling at her in a frustrated tone. The Texas medical worker then tells the woman she has called that she is on speaker phone, as the argument continues. All of this allegedly stems from the woman recording coming into the facility with her pregnant daughter. However, they were apparently there only a few minutes before it was time to close. This angered the employee, who then refused to draw blood from the pregnant woman. The text on the screen also gives some more context as it reads, “Refused blood draw at LabCorp 10 minutes before closing.”

This is unacceptable! Today my daughter (who has a high-risk pregnancy) was refused a blood draw at LabCorp in Odessa, Texas. We arrived at 3:50 PM and they close at 4 PM, but the employee who said her name was Julie refused to help us. She told us it was “rude” to show up close to closing and compared it to going to a restaurant right before they close. She also refused to give us her supervisor’s information and told us to leave. When healthcare facilities treat patients like this, something is wrong. LabCorp, please contact me about this incident at your Odessa location near Medical Center Hospital. #OdessaTexas #LabCorp #PatientCare #HealthcareMatters #PregnancyCare

TikTok Rages Following Texas Medical Worker’s Attitude Problem

The TikTok comment section was up in arms following this interaction. Many would rush to the video in order to leave behind their own thoughts and opinions regarding the matter at hand. “This interaction lasted longer than the blood draw would have,” pointed out one viewer. “No, because it takes like two minutes to draw blood,” stated one more. “How dare you ask her to do her job?” wrote one more. Finally, one last person’s comment also read, “I worked for LabCorp, and we had to draw patients if they walked in one minute before closing.”

As the TikTok video continues, the Texas medical worker and the two other women go on arguing. At this point, it has turned into more of a he-said-she-said situation as everyone attempts to blurt out their sides of the story. However, the employee would seemingly have had enough of this as she tells the two women to “Leave the premises.”

However, the Texas women are not backing down as they want this woman’s blood drawn, and they want it done now. Yet, the employee then threatens to call the police in a tone that screams how fed up she is. The TikTok would come to an end following that announcement, as viewers may never know how this one ended up.
