A chaotic confrontation outside Nashville is making headlines after video footage captured part of a road rage incident that eventually led to criminal charges. According to authorities, 40-year-old Robert Moore was arrested following the confrontation in Lebanon, Tennessee.
Police say he now faces assault and aggravated assault charges after allegedly firing two rounds from a handgun during the dispute. The incident was witnessed by Jessica Jackson, who told local media she and her family were simply trying to pick up food when they unexpectedly found themselves trapped behind the unfolding drama.

According to Jackson, traffic had come to a standstill because two vehicles were blocking a turning lane. “The turning lane was completely blocked by two cars,” she explained. As frustration mounted, two men exited their vehicles and began arguing in the middle of the roadway.
Video recorded from Jackson’s vehicle shows the pair facing off near their cars while traffic backed up around them. One man, wearing a green shirt, appeared visibly agitated. The other, dressed in gray, seemed far calmer, according to witnesses.
Jackson described the taller man in gray as someone who appeared to be trying to keep the situation under control. “He was just saying what he needed to say,” she said. But then another person became involved.
A woman exited the gray-shirted man’s vehicle and attempted to intervene. According to Jackson, the woman approached the confrontation and tried to de-escalate things. “She was talking to the guy in the white truck and said, ‘Go back to your car,’” Jackson recalled.
Instead of calming the situation, the encounter allegedly sparked an even more volatile reaction. The video appears to show the man in green pushing the woman in the face, nearly knocking her into traffic. It was a shocking moment that transformed a verbal argument into a physical confrontation.

What happened next unfolded rapidly. Jackson told reporters she believed the man returned to his vehicle to retrieve a weapon. “The other guy saw him and saw what he was reaching for, and that’s when he walked over and punched him in the face,” she said.
The recording reportedly ended before the most dramatic moments occurred. However, Jackson said she heard gunshots shortly afterward. Additional footage later showed another motorist apparently disarming the suspected gunman before police arrived. Authorities later identified Moore as the individual accused of firing the weapon. He was taken into custody on Saturday and now faces multiple charges related to the incident.
