Playing any kind of sport, especially as a little kid, can be some of the most fun and rewarding experiences life has to offer. However, that’s not always the case, unfortunately. Sometimes, parents, or even the coaches, can really ruin the magic that paying sports creates. Take this recently posted TikTok video, for example. The clip has around 773K likes and 6.1 million views as this Louisiana little league baseball coach completely crosses the line.
Sadly, the TikTok video starts off with the altercation already taking place. However, with that being said, the person recording was able to get most of the drama on-camera. Viewers can then look on as one of the team’s head coaches is having a heated discussion with the Home Plate umpire. Although the ump is a teenager, the coach is quite a bit older than him. Yet, despite that, the Louisiana teen is the one who keeps a level head through the encounter.
TikTok Roasts Angry Louisianan Little League Baseball Coach
The altercation allegedly stems from the children who are playing having curse words in their walk-up songs. However, the Louisiana Little League umpire claims that he has not heard a single bad word since the game began. Walk-up songs are used typically for the team that is batting, and when a player walks up to the plate, whatever song they chose previously plays for a short time. The umpire can also be heard telling the coach, “I have umpired a lot of games here.” He then tells the coach, “You’re either going back to the dugout, or your team is forfeiting.”
The TikTok comment section also wanted to give their two cents regarding the altercation, as many would rush to leave behind their own thoughts and opinions. “This kid volunteers, by the way,” one pointed out regarding the umpire. Another stated, “My kid would be on a new team by Monday.” Finally, one last person’s comment also read, “The ump is standing on business.”
As the TikTok video comes to an end, the Louisiana little league coach and the Home Plate umpire continue their back and forth, as the young man then asked the players if they “Want to play baseball or have this coach complain to me about the music?” The kids then all say that they would rather play ball, no surprise there. However, the coach has other plans as he tells his team to get off the field and forfeit the game. At the end of the day, this man should not be coaching any level of any sport, as clearly, he just shuts down when he doesn’t get his way.
