Taylor Swift and Kim Kardashian definitely have bad blood between them. Kardashian found herself in the middle of Swift’s long-standing feud with Kanye West after the rapper offended Swift with a lyric in his 2016 song “Famous.” On the track, West referenced his feud with Swift and called her a b—-. Eventually, Swift revealed that she was not okay with West’s lyrics about her.
Later, Kardashian released an edited phone call between Swift and West, making it appear that the singer was on board with the racy lyric. The unedited audio was ultimately released, revealing Swift wasn’t made aware of the lyric.
Taylor Swift allegedly wants a public apology from Kim Kardashian
Taylor Swift and Kanye West may not be reconciling their differences anytime soon. However, the “Cruel Summer” singer is reportedly on board with making amends with Kim Kardashian. However, Swift allegedly requires a public apology from the reality star, who divorced West in 2022.
According to TMZ, Swift would only want to mend fences with Kardashian if the Skims founder issued a public apology for her part in all of the drama.
Swift called out Kardashian after being named Time’s Person of the Year
Recently, Taylor Swift spoke out about the situation, calling out Kardashian’s part in it all. The singer admitted that she struggled after the edited audio was released. She went as far as to move out of the country and stay at home for a year. However, fans know that is when her “Reputation” era was born.
“You have a fully manufactured frame job, in an illegally recorded phone call, which Kim Kardashian edited and then put out to say to everyone that I was a liar,” she Time Magazine.
“I moved to a foreign country. Didn’t leave a rental house for a year. I was afraid to get on phone calls. I pushed away most people in my life because I didn’t trust anyone anymore.” She added, “I went down really, really hard.”
Will Kim Kardashian apologize to Taylor Swift?
It doesn’t seem that Kim Kardashian will be joining Taylor Swift’s girl squad anytime soon. Even if the “American Horror Story” alum were to apologize to the singer for her part in all of the drama, it seems that the apology would be private.
It’s unlikely that the reality star would issue a public apology over the situation, which happened nearly a decade ago. However, stranger things have happened in Hollywood.
