Rock legend Ozzy Osbourne admits his rock star days are coming to an end. The singer is officially calling it quits on live performances. The rocker, 76, has been forced to face a grim reality regarding his declining health issues and mortality.

Ozzy Osbourne is preparing for his final show. However, the United States won’t be part of his final curtain call. Despite being offered “tens of millions” to bring a farewell tour to the U.S., the Prince of Darkness is putting his health first and choosing to close out his career with one last show in Birmingham, England.

On July 5, Osbourne is set to perform at Birmingham’s Villa Park, but even that gig is being called a “last-minute decision.” The 76-year-old has been battling Parkinson’s disease, compounded by years of health complications including spinal injuries and major surgeries. According to Radar Online, his physical therapy has reportedly made it impossible for him to rehearse properly for what’s expected to be a historic performance.

Osbourne’s Parkinson’s diagnosis continues to progress, most notably affecting his legs. Sharon Osbourne confirmed that walking is a major challenge, though his voice remains in fighting form. The rocker has undergone multiple spinal surgeries and relies on constant health monitoring, including daily blood pressure checks and heart rate tracking devices.

Ozzy Osbourne Says No To The U.S.

Osbourne’s health has worsened in recent months, with his legs being the most affected. His wife, Sharon, recently gave an update on Ozzy’s condition while announcing “the farewell performance. Sadly, Parkinson’s is a progressive disease. It’s not something you can stabilize. It affects different parts of the body, and it has affected his legs. But his voice is as good as it’s ever been.

While fans were hopeful for a U.S. sendoff, sources say that idea has been firmly taken off the table. Promoters and venues threw down massive offers, banking on the rocker’s ability to fill stadiums. Still, Ozzy said no, choosing instead to give his hometown one final moment.

According to industry insiders, even if he manages to take the stage in England, that’s all he’s got left in him. “Two full sets were never going to happen,” one source explained, citing the rocker’s endurance struggles and inability to stand for long periods.

Ozzy Osbourne is choosing to go out on his terms. No massive U.S. farewell tour, no over-the-top spectacle. Just one final, emotional show in his hometown of Birmingham. With his health in decline, the Prince of Darkness is bowing out gracefully, proving that even rock legends know when it’s time to hang it up. While fans may be disappointed, they won’t see him live again. They can take comfort in knowing Ozzy isn’t done making music. He’s just stepping away from the stage, at least for the time being.
