Everyone has at least one dating story they’d rather erase from existence. The kind of memory that randomly resurfaces at 3 a.m. and makes you question every life decision you’ve ever made. For one Ohio woman, that unforgettable moment involved a promising date, suspicious sushi, and a desperate getaway in the middle of the night.

Ohio TikTok creator Appl recently shared what she described as one of the most humiliating experiences of her life, and the internet couldn’t look away. The nightmare apparently started hours before the date even began.

According to Appl, she picked up a quick meal from a local Kroger during the afternoon. The meal included a California roll and a vegetable roll. Right away, something seemed off. She noticed a strong smell when she opened the package and said the food had an unusual taste.

Ohio Woman Shares Insane Sleepover Date Story

Despite her concerns, she ate it anyway and continued with her plans. At first, everything seemed completely normal. The Ohio woman headed out around 5 p.m. and spent the evening with her date. The pair enjoyed a walk around a local campus area, had a picnic, and later returned to his place to relax and watch a Cleveland Cavaliers game.

Honestly, it sounds like a pretty solid date. Unfortunately, her stomach apparently had other plans. While watching the game, Appl began noticing some unpleasant warning signs. Her stomach started making noises, but she tried to ignore them and eventually went to sleep.

That decision came back to haunt her. Around 1:30 a.m., she suddenly woke up feeling seriously sick. Trying not to wake her date, she quietly made her way to the bathroom where things quickly spiraled into chaos. After dealing with the immediate crisis, she reached for toilet paper.

There wasn’t any. Not only was there no toilet paper on the roll, but according to Appl, there were no backup supplies anywhere in the bathroom. She said she searched cabinets, storage areas, and every place she could think of without finding a replacement.

As if that wasn’t bad enough, she also claimed there wasn’t any hand soap. At that point, panic fully set in. Faced with limited options, Appl said she resorted to using a small washcloth she found in the bathroom before stuffing it into her purse and making a hasty exit from the home.

The Internet Feels For Her

Rather than risk another awkward encounter, she quietly slipped out and began the 20-minute drive back home. Unfortunately, the disaster wasn’t over. While trying to make it home, Appl said she blasted the air conditioning and turned up the music in an effort to stay focused. But somewhere during the drive, things got even worse.

“I was gripping that wheel, putting cold air on me, doing everything, listening to music… and I sh– myself. I sh– myself in the car.” By the time she finally made it home, she said she was also dealing with vomiting. Needless to say, it wasn’t exactly the romantic ending most people hope for after a successful date.

The story has since attracted attention online, with viewers split between feeling sympathetic and laughing at the sheer absurdity of the situation. While the food may have started the chain reaction, many commenters seemed just as shocked by the complete lack of bathroom essentials.

“I am crying,” one person commented. “This story is crazzzy,” said another. “Nightmare,” a third person weighed in. “I’d die,” a fourth comment read.

If there’s a lesson hiding somewhere inside this Ohio dating horror story, it might be this: trust your instincts about questionable sushi and always make sure a bathroom is properly stocked before agreeing to spend the night.
