NFL Star Denzel Ward Invests In Ohio By Becoming Partial Owner Of The Guardians: ‘I Love Cleveland To Death’

The Cleveland Browns have been the laughingstock of not only the NFL, but the football world as a whole for generations now. However, that’s not to say that there are not some bright spots within the organization. One of those bright spots just recently got a little brighter, as the Ohio team’s star CB Denzel Ward opened up about his love for the city and made a grand gesture to prove it.

Following in the footsteps of former Cleveland Browns star defensive player Myles Garret who was a minority owner of the city’s NBA team, the Cavaliers. Denzel Ward is now a part owner of the Cleveland Guardians. Ohio has two MLB teams, the Cincinnati Reds and the Guardians. Yet, since Ward plays in The Land, he obviously chose the Guardians.

Social Media Reacts To Denzel Ward’s Bold Ohio Claim

Not only did Denzel Ward prove his loyalty by doing this, but he also had some words of reminder for the city’s sports fans, which is quite important. “I love Cleveland to death,” said Denzel in a recent interview. Just one sentence, but it was all he needed. The Browns have had their ups and downs, but Ward has always been a constant uplifting presence on and off the field. Getting involved in yet another of the city’s pro sports teams just further proves that point, as well.

Social media also had a lot to say following the news, as many users would rush to leave behind their own thoughts via X. “And Cleveland loves you,” wrote one. Another said, “It’s where quarterbacks go to die; of course he does.” Somebody else then pointed out, “Yeah, well, Myles is a minority owner in the Cavs, and we all see how that went.” A different person joked, “Ward better know we love him more.” Finally, one last person’s comment also read, “We love you too dawg!

Cleveland, Ohio may not look like a lot from the outside, but that is certainly a sports town. Loyal, hardworking fans, dedicated athletes, and a whole city at their backs. Denzel Ward may not get his chance to shine on the biggest stage in football, but he is still doing important work, on and off the field.  At the end of the day, Cleveland should count itself lucky to have an athlete like Denzel Ward leading their NFL team. With the season already underway, who knows? Maybe the Browns will even surprise a few people this season.
