There are some things you expect to deal with when living in an apartment, but your neighbor watching an unwanted intruder enter your home is not something you’d usually bet on. However, that’s what happened when one North Carolina man caught a sneaky little snake slithering under his neighbor’s door.
TikTok creator Koshi, known online as @solokoshi, shared a clip showing a moment that feels like it belongs in a horror movie rather than a college housing complex. The video was filmed at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, where Koshi spotted something unexpected moving across the floor.
At first glance, it’s easy to miss. But then you see it. A snake. The clip shows the snake gliding quickly along the floor near a dorm room entrance, moving with purpose like it already knows exactly where it’s going. And then, without hesitation, it slips right under the gap at the bottom of a door and disappears inside someone’s apartment.

Koshi’s reaction was exactly what you’d expect from someone witnessing this in real time. In the video, he added a message directed at whoever lived in that room: “Whoever’s apartment this is, I’m so sorry, but you got a new friend.”
The video quickly caught attention online, because it taps into a very specific kind of fear the idea that something could just enter your home without you knowing. One second everything is fine, and the next, there’s an uninvited guest hiding somewhere inside.
North Carolina is home to more than 30 species of snakes, but only a small number of them are venomous. According to wildlife experts, most snakes people encounter are harmless and tend to avoid humans whenever possible. Still, “harmless” doesn’t exactly equal “welcome.”
The Internet Calls Him Out
“You just watched,” one person commented online. “You wrong for this,” said another. “New fear unlocked,” a third person weighed in. “Treat others how you want to be treated,” a fourth comment read.
As for the mystery North Carolina neighbor whose apartment became the snake’s new destination? There’s no update on how that situation played out. But one thing is certain: if they didn’t already believe in checking every corner of their room before relaxing, they probably do now.
