In a world where women are constantly told to “be careful,” one Texas woman decided to take that advice to the extreme.. A TikTok user named Finnegan recently shared a video recounting a terrifying experience in which she says two separate men followed her, forcing her to think fast and act even faster.

According to her now-viral video, @finni.haynes claimed she noticed one man trailing her, and then another. Feeling cornered, she hit record on her phone to document what was happening. But that was just the beginning. To deter her unwanted followers, she did something no one could’ve seen coming.

Finnegan says she first grabbed her pepper spray. But thinking it wasn’t enough. Next, in a move equal parts bold and bizarre, the Texas woman reached into her pants and pulled out a very used feminine hygiene pad. Yes, you read that right. Armed with pepper spray in one hand and the “weapon” in the other, she reportedly began screeching Lady Gaga’s “Disease” at the top of her lungs.

When one of the men still didn’t back down, she waved both items at him like a warrior ready for battle. It was at that moment, she says, that the men finally turned and walked away. Once safely home, Finnegan posted the entire ordeal, asking her followers, “So am I going to keep this pad in my hand until I get home? Now I have to.”

The cringy video made its way to Reddit, where viewers were equal parts horrified and impressed by her sheer audacity. One commenter joked, “Don’t make me take my Diva cup out. You about to get baptized.” Another wrote, “The best medicine against a crazy person is a crazier one.”

It’s not any crazier than these predators following and intimidating her,” another adds.

While Finnegan’s actions may seem extreme. Her fear was real, and it resonated with countless women online who’ve faced similar situations. As one user from downtown Dallas put it, “It’s insane how often this happens.”

The Texas woman later confirmed in a follow-up post that she made it home safely. Whether viewed as unhinged or heroic. Her unthinkable move proved one thing. Sometimes, the craziest defense is the most effective one.
