Life can be very stressful sometimes, and with that being said, people handle that stress in different ways. However, it’s important not to project those feelings onto others, and well, that’s exactly what happened in this recently posted TikTok video, as a New York woman as she walked her dog through a park. The clip has around 109K likes and 1.5 million views as social media users watch this woman battle a Karen, while her dog makes fast friends with a local squirrel.
The TikTok video starts off with the woman recording her golden retriever as it sits on a bench in the middle of whatever park they are at. However, viewers can also see a little gray squirrel sitting in the bushes. The two animals then share a look as the dog’s owner seemingly can’t get enough of the cuteness. Although the peace is short-lived, another woman’s voice can be heard off-camera. The second New York woman can be heard telling the person recording to “Leave the squirrels alone. They’re not here for your dogs to enjoy.”

However, as the altercation continues, the younger woman’s dog and the wild squirrel continue to get closer to one another. The woman then says that her dogs “Love” the little animals. During this entire encounter, the woman filming doesn’t even look at the Karen, as it is clear she has the situation handled. Yet, the older woman isn’t going down without a fight, as she begins to spew extremely hateful words towards the dog’s owner.
Unsurprisingly, though, the TikTok comment section had a lot to say regarding this encounter. Many users would rush to leave behind their own thoughts and opinions on the clip. “Who calls a complete stranger that?” asked one. Another pointed out, “Your dog politely looking at a squirrel set her off this badly? She must live such a miserable life being like that all the time.” Finally, one last person’s comment also read, “I love that you were unbothered.”
Sadly, the TikTok video would come to an end following this. However, not before the squirrel from before gets even closer to the New York woman and her dog. It would seem as though the little animal does enjoy being around the dog and its owner, despite what the Karen thinks. At the end of the day, this older woman was obviously just looking to pick a fight. As for the person recording, though, they handled it perfectly.
