Authorities say a Massachusetts woman let her emotions get the best of her during an eviction that had already been dragging on for years. What started as a heated standoff quickly spiraled into something far more dangerous. Something that ultimately leaving deputies, bystanders, and even nearby residents shaken.

The suspect, identified as 57-year-old Massachusetts resident Rorie Susan Woods, has now been arrested nearly 800 miles away from where the incident first went down. After multiple court delays and a shocking no-show at her scheduled trial, she was finally tracked to a Tennessee hotel and taken into custody. But the bizarre details of her original outburst are what have people talking.

Back in October 2022, deputies say Woods showed up to an eviction in Longmeadow, Massachusetts, with a trailer in tow. But instead of shouting, waving signs, or even staging a sit-in protest, she allegedly took things to an entirely new, and dangerous level according to Law & Crime.

According to authorities, Woods hauled several beehives to the scene. She then began smashing them open, sending swarms of furious bees into the air. The aggressive insects quickly attacked law enforcement officers and bystanders. Some of whom were allergic. One deputy was even hospitalized after being stung.

Deputies Swarmed, Neighbors Terrified

Making matters worse, officials claim Woods mocked the deputies as they were attacked. At one point, when she was told some officers were allergic to bees, she allegedly shot back, “Oh, you’re allergic? Good.” She was later photographed in a beekeeper suit, carrying another hive toward the home before finally being arrested.

“Hold on…it’s not even her house?” one commenter questioned.

“Lady bee crazy,” adds another.

Woods was initially released before trial but skipped her August 2025 court date. That move prompted a judge to issue a non-bailable warrant, and she was soon located and arrested in Tennessee. She now faces extradition back to Massachusetts, where she’s charged with multiple counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, assault with a dangerous weapon, and disorderly conduct.

Authorities say the eviction itself had been an ongoing battle for nearly two years. Protests weren’t unusual. However, nothing could have prepared deputies for an attack involving thousands of stinging insects.

While protests are nothing new during tense evictions, this case proves some people will go to extremes that defy logic. Rorie Susan Woods’ meltdown wasn’t just disruptive. It put lives at risk. Now, with her court date looming once again, it’s clear she’ll be facing far more than just eviction drama.
