Grand Theft Auto is just a hit video game; it’s actually a real-life crime. Stealing a car probably isn’t the best idea, though, just take this recently posted TikTok video for an example. The clip has around 2K likes and 51K views as this Colorado man walks up to a person sitting in his car, drinking his energy drink. Social media users are just as confused as the man recording, as this video continues to strive for viral status.
The TikTok starts off with the man walking up to his vehicle. However, right away, viewers can see someone is already sitting in the driver’s seat. As the man walks up, he can be heard asking, “Excuse me, can I help you?” The man inside the vehicle knows he has been caught, as he can’t even form a lie in time to try to save his skin. The Colorado man then tells him that that’s “My car, and my energy drink.” The person in the vehicle then shockingly asks, “This is your car?” He then tries to tell the man recording that his car doesn’t start, but it’s because he doesn’t have the key.
TikTok Reacts To Strange Colorado Car Thief
The TikTok comment section found this whole ordeal very comical, though. Many would rush to the video in order to leave behind their own jokes and opinions regarding the encounter. “Why would you leave the car unlocked and windows down?” asked one. “Dudes got gloves on. He knew exactly what he was doing,” pointed out another. One other person joked, “The audacity to tell you, the owner of the car, that it doesn’t run while holding your energy drink.” Finally, one last person claimed, “Not swinging is a crime.“
As the TikTok video continues, the Colorado man continues to complain about the person’s car not running. However, arguably the best part of the video is when the man steps out of the vehicle and attempts to hand the energy drink back to the person recording. The dude then says that the drink belongs to him now as the man states that he took, “Just one sip,” in a dramatic tone.
However, the video would come to an end following this. While this was a very strange encounter, at least it did not escalate into something more dangerous. Luckily, this Colorado man was able to catch this guy in the act before he made off with his car. Although it doesn’t seem like he would have either way.
