According to @breadavonne.xo’s viral TikTok videos, her landlord’s behavior has been spiraling for months. The harassment reportedly reached terrifying new levels when the woman stormed in, wielding a steel bat, and began smashing the tenant’s stairs. The horrifying act appeared to be a deliberate attempt to trap the tenant inside her apartment.
The Illinois tenant’s footage captured the sound of the bat pounding against the steps. When she confronted her landlord with her phone recording, the woman quickly retreated to her unit. But the damage was already done.
Months of Disturbing Incidents
Sadly, this wasn’t an isolated outburst. The tenant shared another video showing her landlord slicing through the WiFi cord outside the unit. Not once, but repeatedly. Whenever cable workers arrived to repair it, the landlord allegedly harassed them too, yelling insults and demanding rent money.
The tenant explained that she had paid rent regularly until recently. However, she stopped after the landlord began shutting off her utilities and demanding extra cash to turn them back on. She said she’s gone to the police multiple times, but with no help and nowhere else to go, she’s trapped in a dangerous and unstable environment.
Social media users were horrified by the footage. Many couldn’t believe someone would destroy their own property just to torment a tenant. Others urged the woman to stop paying rent entirely, given the unsafe conditions.

In one chilling update, the tenant said her landlord even changed the locks on the back entrance. Leaving her without a safe escape route if something went wrong. Commenters called the act “insane” and “beyond disturbing,” with some suggesting she take legal action before the situation turns even more dangerous.
