A family in the Tennessee went viral this week after hosting what might be the most dramatic farewell ever given to a child’s pacifier. An actual funeral, complete with grieving relatives, church-style music, and a send-off ceremony fit for a Disney movie.
The TikTok video documenting the spectacle has quickly made its rounds, with viewers across Tennessee and beyond cackling, crying, and maybe even taking notes. At the center of the emotional event was little Savanna, who had grown deeply attached to her pacifier after using it from March 2023 all the way to November 2025. For many parents, that kind of attachment leads to tears, tantrums, and sleepless nights. But this Tennessee family took another route, a ceremonial goodbye that could rival an actual memorial service.
In the first half of the video, family members appear dressed in black, as if they’d just walked straight out of a Sunday service. There’s a piano playing softly in the background, though the vibe is anything but somber. Lined up on the piano were several pacifiers, the “dearly departed,” and each family member walked by to pay their respects. At one point, someone holding a baby let the little one swipe one of the pacifiers, jokingly giving it “another chance at life.”

A woman, likely the grandma, shook a tambourine with surprising enthusiasm while another person offered a heartfelt speech. “I know it’s hard, but nothing is lost when you know where it is,” he said, clearly committing to the bit. Another relative let out a dramatic wail as everyone began singing, while one woman dropped to her knees in a full-on pretend breakdown.
But the grand finale is what TikTok fell in love with: the outdoor send-off. Little Savanna was carried outside as the family tied her beloved pacifier to a bunch of balloons. As it drifted into the sky, the group belted out “Let It Go,” because of course they did. Disney magic meets Southern humor, a perfect combination.
The family also showed off their printed funeral invitation, complete with an order of service and even an ode to the pacifier. The poem read: “Oh Paci dear, you’ve done your part, You’ve soothed her cries, and warmed her heart. But now she’s big and strong, you see, so off you go — fly wild and free!”

In the comments, the Tennessee woman behind the TikTok admitted just how necessary the dramatics were, explaining that Savanna was very attached. “She was OBSESSED with that pacifier,” she wrote. Luckily, the ceremony did exactly what it needed to do. “I asked her where her pacifier was this morning, and with confidence she said, ‘In heaven’! She hasn’t asked for it since.”
