Working as a door-to-door salesperson may seem like a pretty easy gig. However, apparently, the game is way more ruthless and cutthroat than anyone would think. A recently posted TikTok video shows an altercation between two Illinois salesmen as one even calls the police on the other. The clip has around 160K likes and 1.1 million views, as social media users just can’t get enough of this door-to-door salesperson beef.
The TikTok starts off with one of the salesmen walking down the street towards the other, when the older gentleman can be heard saying, “Hey, let me see your permit.” The man recording then promptly asks, “Who are you?” However, the other salesman does not answer as he just states, “I’m gonna get you a ticket, hahaha.” As the Illinois man dials the police department on speaker phone, he turns to the younger salesman and says, “Welcome to the Chicago soliciting game. I’m gonna tell them exactly where you’re at, and they are gonna come give you and your boy a $500 ticket. Good luck.” The older man then begins to follow the person recording as they walk away, and yes, he is still on the phone the whole time. He then tells the young man to “Get outta my territory.”
TikTok Roasts Rude Illinois Man
The TikTok comment section found this extremely funny, as many would flood the video to roast the older man. “Is that Power Home Remodeling? Wow, very unprofessional,” wrote one. “Power Home Remodeling is actively deleting comments,” claimed another. “He definitely wanted a cookie,” joked one more commenter. One person pointed out that he might be “Afraid of competition.” Finally, one other person commented, “He dialed 911. Didn’t even take the time to at least look up the nonemergency number.” It would seem that pretty much everyone is sick of this guy’s antics, and the video is only around a minute long.
As the TikTok continues, the older Illinois salesmen continues to follow the young man as he walks around. The video claims that he followed him around for about three blocks worth of distance. Although once the young man decided to take up a light jog, his pursuer decided to break off.
Unfortunately, the TikTok comes to an end following this development. Hopefully, this young man was not given a $500 ticket after this encounter, as he really wasn’t doing anything wrong. As for the older Illinois gentleman, maybe next time he will understand that this is no way to conduct business.
