Going viral sounds like the dream. More views, more attention, more business. That’s basically the formula for success in today’s social media-driven world, especially for artists like tattooists and piercers who rely heavily on visual content to showcase their work. But as one Florida piercer is learning, viral fame doesn’t always come without complications.
Ana, who shares her work on TikTok under @anamarpiercing, recently opened up about a situation she says completely caught her off guard. In a video that’s already racked up over thousands of views, Ana explained that one of her posts featuring a Florida client unexpectedly took off online. At first, that might sound like a win. But things quickly got uncomfortable behind the scenes.
“I have a situation going on… this has never happened to me with any client,” she said, clearly unsure how to handle what came next. According to Ana, the client in question reached out directly after seeing how much attention the video was getting, and not all of it was positive.
Florida Woman Wants Viral Video Removed After Piercing
“This client called me asking me to remove the video,” she explained. And the issue wasn’t about the piercing itself. It was the internet doing what the internet unfortunately does best. “Some people are being very rude… very hateful comments,” Ana shared, pointing to the wave of negativity that started flooding in once the video gained traction.
As more people engaged with the clip, the client began seeing those comments, and understandably, it didn’t sit well. “She just texted me and said, ‘Hey, can you remove my video?’” Ana recalled.
It’s the kind of situation that feels very 2026. On one hand, content creators rely on real clients and real experiences to build their brand. On the other hand, those same clients don’t always sign up for the emotional toll that can come with viral exposure.
Ana made it clear that her intentions were never to create drama or put anyone in an uncomfortable position. “The purpose of my video was to guide people and help them… not to cause any confrontation,” she said.
But as anyone who’s spent more than five minutes online knows, once something goes viral, control over the narrative pretty much disappears. “People are rude… most people are rude,” she added, summing up the situation in a way that feels painfully accurate.
The Internet Chimes In
Now, she’s left with a decision that doesn’t have an easy answer. Do you keep the video up because it’s helping your business and educating others? Or do you take it down to respect the client’s wishes and protect their comfort?
Ana turned to her audience for advice, asking the question a lot of creators probably fear facing one day. “What would you do? Should I remove the video or leave it?”
Of course, the internet had a lot of thoughts. Many of which consisted of the Florida woman removing the video. “Remove the video to respect your client’s feelings,” one person stated. “The internet is forever. Once it’s there, it’s there,” said another. “As a person who has a business and clients, it shouldn’t be a question. If your client does not want the video out there, you take it down,” a third person weighed in.
Meanwhile, for the Florida piercer, this might be the moment that changes how she approaches sharing client experiences moving forward.
