A breakup in Florida had turned into something this bizarre. A 28-year-old firefighter from Orange County is making headlines for all the wrong reasons after she allegedly threw over 100 red-painted tampons into her ex-boyfriend’s yard. The incident, which looks straight out of a reality TV revenge episode, was caught entirely on camera.

According to Volusia County deputies, the strange tampon toss took place around 10:08 p.m. on September 29. The victim’s current girlfriend called the police two days later, saying she discovered the mess scattered across their yard and driveway, per Too Fab.

The woman behind the chaos is allegedly Gabrielle Franze, a firefighter with Orange County Fire Rescue since 2019. She’s reportedly been a respected firefighter with commendations under her belt, which makes this entire episode even more shocking. But according to the arrest report, Gabrielle wasn’t acting like Florida’s bravest that night.

Florida Firefighter Arrested For Stalking After Throwing Tampons In Ex-Boyfriend’s Yard

Surveillance footage captured everything: a truck pulling up, several tampons being hurled from the vehicle, and a woman later identified as Franze sprinting into the yard to continue the bizarre bombardment by hand. Police also found nearby traffic camera footage showing her truck headed toward the home just minutes before the incident. So much for plausible deniability.

When questioned, Franze initially denied knowing where her ex even lived. But when deputies rolled the footage, she quickly backtracked, changing her story and claiming her mom and aunt were behind the whole thing. According to her, they bought the tampons, painted them, and helped her execute the late-night drop.

Franze was arrested and charged with two counts of misdemeanor stalking before being released later that day on her own recognizance. She’s since been placed on paid administrative leave pending an internal investigation.

Who Thought This Was A Good Idea?

Both her ex-boyfriend and his new girlfriend, who are also firefighters, though in different counties, told police they want to press charges. The new girlfriend even vented on Facebook, writing, “Firefighters are supposed to stand for honor and integrity — yet she chose to do something like this, and was arrested for stalking. That’s how you ruin a badge and a reputation.”

Deputies weren’t buying Franze’s it wasn’t my idea defense, either. In their report, they wrote that the act showed “a continuity of purpose with the sole intent to harass.” In other words, there was nothing accidental about it; this was a meticulously planned act of emotional vandalism.

As the story continues to make waves in Florida, it’s a reminder that some breakups don’t just go bad they go full cinematic. And while heartbreak can make people do wild things, most of us can agree that chucking 100 tampons at your ex’s yard probably isn’t the best way to cope.
