A Florida late-night fast-food run turned into a full-blown viral moment. In a now widely shared video from Fort Lauderdale, a confused and clearly intoxicated woman tried to order a Baconator from a Popeyes drive-thru, believing she was at a Wendy’s. She left both staff and customers completely baffled. Because if you’re going to mistake at a restaurant, why not mix up fried chicken with bacon-loaded burgers?
The TikTok footage, reportedly captured by a man waiting in his car at the drive-thru, starts off innocently enough. He notices a woman on foot standing at the Popeyes window already a red flag since pedestrians don’t exactly belong in the drive-thru lane. Curious, he starts recording and asks what she’s doing. She responded that she was “just trying to get [her] order fixed.”
That might have made sense until she said her order was for a Baconator. For anyone who needs a refresher, the Baconator isn’t from Popeyes, or even from Burger King as some people have mistakenly said; it’s a signature Wendy’s sandwich stacked high with beef, cheese, and bacon. So not only was she at the wrong place, but she was also about three fast-food chains off.

The Florida woman, who appeared heavily intoxicated, didn’t seem to notice how absurd the situation was. Instead, she awkwardly offered the man filming a fist bump which he accepted, because honestly, how could you not at that point?
Moments later, things took another turn when police arrived at the scene. But instead of realizing they were there to handle the disturbance, the woman seemed to think the officers were there to help her get her food. It’s one of those moments that’s both hilarious and cringe-worthy all at once.
According to reports, the woman had actually arrived at the Popeyes in an Uber, but when her driver refused to wait in the long drive-thru line, she decided to get out and order on foot. Instead of walking inside like a normal person, she marched straight into the drive-thru lane and began demanding her nonexistent burger.

Eventually, officers escorted her away, and the situation calmed down, but not before the bystander filming got a front-row seat to one of the strangest food-related mix-ups in recent memory.
“She’s lowkey a vibe,” one person declared. “I feel bad she’s not even being rude just lit and confused,” another commented. “Why didn’t they tell her she’s at Popeyes?” asked a third social media user. “I hope she got home safe and that next time she’ll just doordash the baconator to her house or something,” a fourth comment read.
Florida never fails to deliver when it comes to bizarre viral moments, but this one takes the cake or, well, the sandwich. Let’s hope the woman sobers up, laughs it off, and maybe next time double-checks the sign before asking for a Baconator at Popeyes.
