Eating food that someone else prepares always comes with a risk. However, when it comes to restaurants, bakeries, and fast food places, one would think that they would be held to a higher set of standards. Sadly, that wasn’t the case for one Florida Crumbl Cookie location, as one employee’s wild behavior was caught on camera, and is totally grossing out TikTok.
In a shocking, yet not surprising, video posted by @zlatadubois, a Florida Crumbl employee is seen taking a bit of a break as she leans on a counter top. The scene wouldn’t be so eyebrow raising, if the worker didn’t have her foot slipped out of one of her Crocs and her sock covered foot resting on top of a stack of clean baking trays.
Florida Crumbl Employee Makes Waves On TikTok
The camera zooms in on the scene, which clearly shows an employee wearing black shorts and small black no-show socks. Her white Crocs are seen on the floor, one foot still inside, while the other contaminates the large baking sheets, and are likely there to place the cookies on before they go in the oven.
The entire situation is bizarre, and almost hard to believe. Did the employee not realize what she was doing, or did she just not care? Either way, it’s not a good look for the company. The video got so much traction online that the official Crumbl TikTok account even commented on it.
“This is crazy work, we’ve reported this. Thanks for sharing and we’re SO sorry!” the company said. Others on social media had similar reactions, revealing their thoughts on the disgusting display.
So Gross!
“$30 for a cookie that smells like sweaty crocs!?” one person commented. “She did this in front of customers… imagine when we not watching,” another pointed out. “Think about what you don’t see,” a third person agreed. “My order would have been cancelled immediately,” a fourth person chimed in. “Crocs are not safe footwear for a restaurant either,” said another viewer.
It seems that this Florida Crumbl Cookie location may be in some hot water with fans as well as corporate. The TikTok video has more than 13 million views and counting. Not to mention, people have been review bombing the location. Hopefully, a major lesson was learned by the bakery, as well as people who may want to rethink where they get their food from. Perhaps cooking at home is the safest option for us all.
