People shop online constantly, and there will always be plenty of packages going out around the country. However, with that being said, companies like Amazon need employees to drive their trucks, so the packages can actually be delivered. Yet, this recently posted TikTok video points out that they may need to intensify their hiring process. The clip has around 319K likes and 3.4 million views as this Connecticut man comes out of his house to an Amazon delivery driver leaving a massive rut in his yard.
The TikTok video would then start off with the man coming out of his house. Viewers then get a quick glimpse of the Amazon driver’s truck getting stuck in the man’s yard. However, instead of attempting to ease their way out of the situation, the person behind the wheel thought it would be a good idea to floor it. This leads to a huge rut being formed in the Connecticut man’s yard, as the Amazon delivery driver tries to get the truck unstuck. “That’s Amazon for you,” the man can be heard saying as he watches the scene unfold.
TikTok Reacts To Connecticut Amazon Driver’s Delivery Mishap
The TikTok comment section also had a lot on their minds following this, as many users would rush to leave behind their own thoughts and opinions regarding the matter. “Call Amazon, they will pay you,” claimed one. “As a former driver, that dude definitely got a call five minutes later asking him what he was thinking, because the on-board computer definitely reported that,” stated another. Someone else then wrote, “This guy definitely dailys a Nissan Altima.” Finally, one last person’s comment also read, “You paid for a speedy delivery, not a safe and competent delivery.”
As the TikTok video continues, the Connecticut Amazon delivery driver finally gets free of the rut they had created in this man’s yard. Shortly after that, the person behind the wheel threw the truck into drive and sped off down the road. It would appear as though they knew they had messed up, but did not want to face any consequences. After the truck was almost out of sight, the man recording can be heard saying, “You’ve got to be kidding me.”
The clip would then come to an end with the Connecticut man getting a good shot of the rut the Amazon delivery driver had left behind. At the end of the day, this was certainly some bad driving from this Amazon employee. Hopefully, this man’s yard wasn’t too much of a pain to fix, either. Online shopping is definitely convenient, but it clearly has it set-backs as well.
