Getting engaged to be married is a very important step in a person’s life, and with that being said, the proposal should be one to remember. However, this recently posted TikTok video is certainly unforgettable, but for all the wrong reasons. The clip has around 31K likes and 1.4 million views as this California Karen ruins this random couple’s engagement. Social media users seemingly can’t stop watching as this video has most definitely reached viral status.
The TikTok video starts out with the happy couple reaching the designated spot for the proposal. In the background, by the water and overlooking a beautiful city skyline, a white arch can be seen with flowers and other things hanging off of it. However, something else is also there, and that something is actually a someone. A random California woman can be seen standing to the side of the arch taking pictures of it. Yet, she has no affiliation with the soon to be engaged couple, or the photographers who were hired to capture this special moment. The text on the screen also gives a little more context as it reads, “POV: Photographing the perfect proposal until a random Karen decides to make this moment about herself.”
TikTok Roasts Rude California Karen
The TikTok comment section was also very unhappy regarding this encounter. Many would rush to the clip in order to leave behind their own thoughts about the situation. “Why do people do stuff like this?” asked one. Another pointed out, “I don’t have anything nice to say.” Someone else then pointed out, “I don’t understand, what do people do with these pictures? Like it’s a random person’s engagement, why are you documenting it?” Finally, one last person’s comment also read, “What an awful thing to do.”
As the TikTok video goes on, the California couple can be seen waiting very patiently as the strange woman doesn’t even notice them approaching. However, the video then states that she was told that the couple were on their way, and still refused to move. Finally, the Karen would look up and see the couple walking up to her. Although she doesn’t seem to care, as she takes her sweet time, enjoying the view.
Unfortunately, the video would cut off following this, as the California couple moves past the woman and two the white arch. Hopefully, the Karen didn’t cause any more issues for them during the proposal, as they deserve the time to themselves in this very special moment.
