What should have been a normal trip to Sam’s Club turned into an oddly entertaining saga involving misplaced snacks, a confused couple, and a manager who may or may not have scored a secret rotisserie chicken for dinner.
The Alabama woman, named Katelyn, shared the bizarre incident on TikTok, calling it a “top tier Sam’s Club experience.” And she wasn’t exaggerating. According to her video, she and her partner left the store like normal only to open their car and discover that someone else’s groceries were already chilling in the back seat. We’re talking chips, juice boxes, and an entire rotisserie chicken just sitting there like it belonged.
“We just got to our car at Sam’s and there’s somebody else’s stuff in our car,” she said, clearly bewildered. Her partner tried to rationalize it, saying, “I’m sure it was a mistake.” And to be fair, Alabama parking lots have seen stranger things.

Still, instead of shrugging and driving off with an unexpected feast, the couple headed back inside to let customer service know. Surprisingly, Sam’s Club employees told them they couldn’t take the groceries back like at all. One worker even suggested they just take the mystery haul home. Free food? Dream scenario. Except Katelyn wasn’t convinced that was the right move.
Determined to get answers, she went a step further and spoke to the curbside pickup worker to see if maybe the groceries belonged to an online order. But nothing matched. No missing order, no confused customer, no explanation.
Finally, a manager stepped in, and that’s when things took a turn. The manager insisted the groceries could not leave with them. She shut down the idea fast, and the couple ended up handing everything over. That’s when the conspiracy theories kicked in.
Katelyn admitted that she and her family couldn’t shake the feeling that maybe the manager wanted that rotisserie chicken and snacks for herself. And honestly? The suspicion is understandable. It was a pretty solid haul.
