However, with that being said, this recently posted TikTok video by the account @brittanyerinmayes is something not a ton of people have ever seen before. The clip has around 25K likes and 677K views, as this West Virginia woman’s neighbors have an actual microwave oven as their mail box. Viewers seemingly can’t get enough of the creativity as the video continues to do well online.
The TikTok video starts off with the woman recording, sitting in her vehicle at the end of her home’s driveway. She can then be heard saying, “You know you’re in West Virginia when your neighbor has a microwave for a mailbox.” Viewers are then treated to the sight of the woman’s mailbox sitting next to her neighbor’s. However, one of them is certainly not like the other, as they really did put a kitchen appliance on a wooden post and stuck it in the ground.
TikTok Reacts To Strange West Virginia Mailbox
The TikTok comment section was loving the creativity of this woman’s neighbors, as many would flock to the video in order to leave behind their own thoughts and jokes regarding the discovery. “Whatever works,” wrote one. Another said, “As an ex-mailman, I love it. You can put packages in it, and not go to the house.” Somebody else also pointed out, “Excellent recycling of Microwaves as it would definitely hold most packages and they should seal pretty well against rain.“
A different commenter also stated, “My daughter’s father-in-law used a kitty litter bucket on its side for a mailbox!” Some other users then claimed, “I love that it’s actually cute. No one else has that, I bet.” Finally, one last person’s comment also read, “I’m from West Virginia, and that’s for when the mail carrier needs a snack.”
Sadly, the TikTok video would come to an end following this, as the clip was rather short. Hopefully, this West Virginia woman’s neighbors can keep up the mailbox vibes as time goes on; who knows what happened to their last one, though. At the end of the day, this kind of creativity is perfect for the internet, and it would seem that most viewers absolutely loved it.
