A Florida woman’s twisted obsession spiraled into a terrifying campaign of fear and intimidation, turning one family’s life into a waking nightmare. And leaving one unfaithful man to learn that betrayal can come with a very real price.

The messages came from unfamiliar numbers. At first, they seemed random,out-of-place, unnerving, but ignorable. Then came the photos. The references to private moments. There was a strange sense that someone was watching. Florida authorities say Neriman Ayse Can, 36, of Pompano Beach, wasn’t just a scorned ex.

The scorned Florida woman became an obsessed ex-haunting presence in the life of her former lover, his wife, and their children. Arrested on July 29 by Margate Police, Can now faces multiple charges, including aggravated stalking of a minor, domestic-related stalking, and violating a court-ordered injunction. But her alleged behavior goes far beyond legal definitions. It reads more like a real-life horror story, according to the Margate Talk.

It wasn’t just the relentless contact; it was the way it slithered into every corner of their lives. Police reports reveal messages laced with veiled threats. Some sent through spoofed numbers, others through social media.

Florida Woman Hides In The Darkness To Plot Sinister Revenge

The long-running nightmare continued for several months. Can sent an even more alarming message through a TikTok account. It included an image of a small yellow children’s casket with the caption: “You think [child’s name] would like this?”  Records show that on January 26, Can sent another disturbing message that read “Does another casket for [child’s name] have to be sent to your other two kids for you to answer the phone?”

Can had never met the child. She had no reason to be near the school. But she was there. Watching. The dread only deepened. A message arrived referencing the glow of the child’s bedroom light. Then, a disturbing observation: the trophies on the windowsill. It was proof she was outside, in the dark, looking in.

On another day, she sent a photo of their home and remarked about the trash cans being moved. She knew their patterns. Their routines. Their hiding places. She wasn’t just harassing the family. She was studying them.

I just drove by your house. [Husband’s name] is not there. I’m going to check if your son’s school is out today. I have the schedule,” she wrote before sending a screenshot of the child’s school calendar. She added, “You will hear me soon. I promise you this,” followed by a declaration that she would be bringing a speaker to the daycare to shout accusations about the husband cheating.

For months, this family lived under the weight of fear, watched, hunted, and threatened by someone who refused to let go. What began as a broken relationship spiraled into something far more sinister, leaving behind the kind of scars that don’t fade easily.

This case is more than just a cautionary tale about stalking. It’s a grim reminder that when trust is broken, the fallout can be more than emotional. Infidelity doesn’t just ruin relationships. Sometimes, it opens the door to darkness you never saw coming.
