Texas Grocery Delivery Turns Bitter When Weapon-Wielding Driver Makes Threats To Homeowner: ‘Clearly Hates His Job’
A Texas family got more than they expected when they ordered groceries to be delivered to their home. In a video that was caught by their doorbell camera, the Walmart Spark driver in charge of handling the customers’ order seemed to be having a very bad day and his attitude eventually landed him in hot water with the law.
In a viral video circulating on social media, the Texas delivery man is seen hauling groceries from his car to the deck of the customer’s home. After setting down one load, he screams about the homeowner not clearing off their deck, using profanity to voice his frustration further. After hearing his comment, the homeowner told him that he was rude and also being recorded by the camera.
The driver didn’t seem to care, and had a few more choice words for the homeowner, telling her to shut up and calling her profane names. After setting the rest of the groceries on the deck, the driver, who was later confirmed to be a man named Aaron Youngblood, can be seen walking around the property holding a knife. He then rings the doorbell and knocks on the door, hoping for an answer.
Texas Spark Driver Loses It During Routine Delivery
“Remember, I got your address,” he says. “Remember that. If you snitch on me I’m coming back,” he adds multiple times. Youngblood turns to head back to his car, but before leaving, he picks up something from the customer’s yard and chucks it as far as he can. He was arrested later that same day for aggravated assault.
It’s unclear what caused the Texas delivery driver’s meltdown, but social media has some thoughts. “He clearly hates his job,” one person wrote via X. “Then he was unemployed,” said another. “That was literally unhinged,” a third person wrote.
While incidents like this are rare, Walmart says delivery drivers who use its Spark Driver platform are expected to follow strict standards of professionalism and customer safety. The company notes that reports of threatening behavior are taken seriously and can result in immediate deactivation from the platform while incidents are investigated.
Aaron Youngblood Was Charged With Aggravated Assault
Walmart also encourages customers to report safety concerns through its customer support channels so appropriate action can be taken. According to Walmart’s Spark Driver guidelines, drivers are required to maintain respectful interactions with customers throughout the delivery process.
Per the Texas Penal Code, aggravated assault charges may be filed when a person is accused of threatening another while using or exhibiting a deadly weapon, though each case is evaluated on its own facts by investigators and prosecutors. Because criminal proceedings are ongoing, the allegations against Youngblood have not yet been tested in court, and he is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
The criminal case against Youngblood will now move through the Texas court system, where prosecutors will determine how they intend to proceed. It’s also unclear whether Walmart permanently removed the driver from the Spark platform following the incident. The company has not publicly commented on any employment or contractor actions related to the case.
