The tragic death of Tupac Shakur in 1996 shocked the world. However, according to Suge Knight, there is more to the bizarre circumstances surrounding his death and final send-off than many know.. According to former Death Row Records boss Suge Knight, the slain rapper’s final farewell was anything but ordinary. From behind bars, Knight has now claimed that Tupac’s own family and close friends ignored the late rapper’s wishes, opting for a more symbolic send-off that’s leaving fans stunned.

Suge Knight, who is currently serving a 28-year sentence for a deadly hit-and-run, recently made the wild confession from his California prison cell. According to Radar Online, Suge says that after Tupac Shakur’s cremation, his ashes were disposed of creepily.

Knight claims Tupac had once told him he didn’t want to be cremated. In a conversation before his death, the rapper allegedly expressed that he wanted a traditional send-off. A celebration where fellow artists would honor his life onstage and say goodbye. But according to Knight, Tupac’s mother, Afeni Shakur, had other plans.

Suge Knight Claims Tupac Shakur’s Final Wishes Ignored

Tupac’s mom reportedly insisted on an immediate cremation, and when Knight hesitated, she shut down any discussion. He says she gave him a no-nonsense look and told him to get it done. “I told her, ‘Look, I don’t know if I can do that.'” In the end, Suge claims he paid $1 million in cash to ensure it happened swiftly.

Tupac, “He didn’t want to be cremated,” Knight confesses. “He told me, ‘When I go, I want every rapper at my funeral to grab the mic. I want them to kiss me head to toe. Just like in Life Goes On.” Initially, Knight reveals he wasn’t too keen to go against Tupac Shakur’s final wishes.

Knight says that same night, a close circle of the rapper’s loved ones, including his mother, gathered to say goodbye. He claims a blunt was rolled using Tupac’s ashes and passed around in what they believed was a powerful and symbolic gesture of love. Knight says he was the only one who didn’t partake, as he was on probation at the time and couldn’t risk the consequences.

In the end, “A bag with his ashes was passed around. His homies rolled him up. They smoked him. You gotta understand, that’s what made sense. It was symbolic. It’s like… You keep part of him.”

Suge Knight’s shocking claim adds a wild new chapter to the already legendary story of Tupac Shakur. Either way, Tupac’s legacy continues to spark controversy decades after his death, and in true Tupac fashion, he’s still making headlines from beyond the grave.
